Austin Slap n Tickle 2009
It's that time again!
We've had a few very successful Austin Slap & Tickles (meet n greet for you new goodjers) and we'd like to welcome you for another S&T this year in July. Right now we're looking at the 2nd weekend in July, July 10-13.
Things will be a little different this year. Previous we threw a huge party, 150+ people, in celebration of this gathering. We got goodjers fly in from all corners of the country. Well, we're getting a critical mass of goodjers that we don't need the extra folks. More intimate, more relaxing, and more time to hang out with each other. We're still throwing the Rock Band party plus BBQ.
I've got video from last year's event! Well, it's coming, I'm having to relearn my Final Cut Pro and Motion skills, but it's a nice piece of goodjer nostalgia. Should be posted in the next 24 hours. In the mean time, here's a clip from the Video Games Live! concert we went to.
Hotels: The nicest ones near my house, both about 5 minutes away, are: Residence Inn & Fairfield Inn. If you have another hotel in mind, just send me the link and I'll tell you what I know about it.

I always do that. Those dates would be correct if this was happening in June. It's not happening in June.
The correct dates are July 10-13. Friday-Monday.

Texas has funky laws about liquor stores. I think Costco would be deemed a grocery store and only allowed to sell beer and wine. Hard stuff is only available in the real "liquor" store.

Yes we do and yes they do have a liquor store but that's small game. You need to go to Spec's now they are a a liqour store.

I am sad.
A weekend later and I would be in town. As it stands, I and the grumplings will be in and out of Canada that weekend. Alas and alack, I will not be able to bake cookies for the S&T or host the morning after Brunch of Goodness. There will be no 6yos to show you the rendition of 'Roam' that they have been working on all year in Rock Band.
On the other hand, it will be much easier for Chiggie to avoid me this year.
Sigh.
