Get out your stick and get your Irish up and beat the tar out of something. Preferably a game in your collection and not one of your relatives. Enjoy the green beer, it helps the older games seem more appealing (among other things).

In a cruel twist of fate, I'm going to pick a game that I'm actually enjoying playing, thereby making me lose all interest in playing it.

This month's Pick of the Pile is

Dead Rising

"Dead Rising follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to a small suburban town only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. He escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety but it turns out to be anything but. It will be a true struggle to survive the endless stream of enemies, but players will have full reign of a realistic shopping center, utilizing anything they find to fight off the flesh-hungry mob and search for the truth behind the horrendous epidemic." I will not let these games defeat me, and I'll have more time in March, so Dead Space and Beyond Good & Evil shall fall.

After watching the Giant Bomb Persona 4 run-through I've got a hankering for some japanese RPG. Since Persona 4 isn't out here for a couple of weeks, I figure that makes it a good time to go back and have another stab at Final Fantasy 12.

Will I finish it in a month? Probably not with the myriad of other stuff currently available/available shortly

...worth a try though.

I can't find that one. I keep turning up Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Is this maybe an amalgamation of a Banjo and Ratchet and Clank game?

I'm in for Shadow Hearts II (PS2) this month. Between that, SF4, and WoW, something's gonna have to give....

Gunner: I love Psychonauts. Absolutely love it. But, like most gaming "greats," I think you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of it if you just try to play it and have fun, rather than constantly looking at it and wondering if you're to the great parts yet.

I chose two games last month and expected a race to the finish line, and instead I finished them both off about halfway through, so I'm going to be more ambitious this time. Sign me up for Primal (PS2), Tomb Raider: Anniversary (PC) and Resident Evil (the remake) (Gamecube).

I'm going to stick with 2 games for me this month, as a TF2 revival is in the works.

Mirror's Edge (360) and
Far Cry 2 (PC)

King's Bounty - The Legend is much longer than I thought, and as a completionist I want to savor it rather than rush through it. As such, it's staying off my pile - I'd put it on a long term pile, to finish by April maybe.

Both games I recently finished and both games I'm glad I played With Primal, remember - if you're stuck...you have a rope.

For me, let's carry over Lost in Blue (NDS) from last month. I'm very stable on the "ability to survive" front, having all the latest in desert island cave amenities, except for a goat, as I haven't had any luck catching one yet. ...and a chicken, but that's because my dumb, near-sighted companion let it die. I swear - if she wasn't able to cook and make ropes and baskets, I probably would have wanted a voluntary cannibalism option included in the game, just to make life easier. Already spent 57 days on the island and I'm ready for a change in scenery.

Additionally, I'm just getting into the...uh...swing... of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (PC/multi). Not such a huge fan of the camera so far, but I'll probably get used to it.

I haven't yet decided what my third title will be - it's between a few titles, in fact - Katamari Damacy, Robotech Battlecry, and NOLF (if I can finally get it working).

Chrono Trigger DS for me.

This is actually kind of important because I am pretty sure I am going to ditch my DS Lite and the games for it by April. iPhone Gaming (yeah, I know, but its true) has kind of moved into the mobile space that the DS Lite barely occupied beforehand. But I still want to finish Chrono Trigger because I missed it on SNES and I really want to find out what all the hype is about.

Also Condemned 2: Bloodshot. Bought it after I finished Condemned then got side tracked by SFIV, FEAR 2, and now Killzone 2.

Can you jump into Shadow Hearts II without knowing much about the first game in the series? I've been slowly regaining my JRPG interest, and I've been told it's a pretty good one, and apparently a lot of the same team worked on Lost Odyssey, which explains the continuing obsession with rings.

Uhm, let's say Okami for PS2, and Fallout for PC. If I beat those I'll add another, but I need to get Okami done first since it already has 25 hours invested in it and I really need to beat the first in the Fallout series, then 2, then Tactics... Ugh.
