We got engaged on Tuesday, at one of our favorite restaurants. Anyone on Twitter that night got a play-by-play, since we appear to be "on the cutting edge of matrimonial technology"!
Also, we actually met through GWJ. Are there bonus points for that?

My wife and I actually decided to get married after we had been together for a month or so. We waited a year before becoming officially engaged so that our families could get more used to the idea.

Trust me, you have this urge to feel the ring every few seconds, make sure its there, that it looks as awesome as it did when you saw it for the first time!!! I actually had mine in my jean's pocket for about 2 secs, then wrapped it in a paper tissue because "the jean's pocket cloth will scratch the ring!".
