What's on your Christmas list?
Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008 - 1:58pm
I'm a lazy bum. People ask me for gift ideas, and I never have any. I don't know what I want. So, I intend to mooch here a bit.
What are you folks asking for for Christmas? I'll add my list here when I get it together.
EDIT:
The list to date:
Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game (Review and explanation can be found here.)
Little Big Planet
Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume Six
The Korg DS-10 Synthesizer (Thanks Duoae).
A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
Logitech diNovo Mini
Mass Effect Original Game Soundtrack
Extras
Garmin nüvi 360 3.5-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Text-To-Speech
The Children of Húrin
Star Trek Enterprise Seasons 1-4.

I don't normally ask for specific presents and i usually get the, "It's so hard to buy for you!" schtick..... so i made a list with some possibilities and some 'please, i'd really like and would buy them myself but i've made the effort and not done so you can get them for me as a present'....
Korg DS 10 version (for more sound synthesising goodness)
Salon brush (i hate combs)
March of the Lonely - Martin Grech CD
Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure for Writers - Book
Sins of a solar Empire - PC game
A sword from red ice (Hardback)
That's actually pretty much it though the only two i stipulated as needing were the Korg DS and salon brush. The others are just ideas.
I heard that she's already been 'gifted'.

Tell someone you love them, because life is short. But holler it at them in German, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
I'm glad i'm not the only one who's really enjoying them! It's the only series that i've taken the time to watch week-in, week-out in about five years.

Between shuffling between different residents back when my fiance and i moved in together i managed to loose a box of 100+ dvds. I suspect it was one of my old roommates, but oh well. I hate having to buy them all again so i've told everyone that i wanted movies. That they're welcome to check out what i do have and if its not on our shelves then thats what i want for christmas.

Also, isn't that what you got last year?
Your parents must love buying for you.
I don't like getting electronics for x-mas as I tend to be the only one I know that can buy the right thing. That being said, I'm sure that I will snag some great clothes from the girlfriend, maybe some nerdy books, and I should get a bunch of cash as well. That should get me a game or two, or maybe even the Ion drumkit for Rockband.

- A lens for my Canon.
- A pair of headphones.
- A fixed base router.
- The Planet Earth series on BluRay.
- A ton of books.
I anticipate receiving none of them, really. Try as I might I cannot find a link to add Megan Fox to my Amazon wishlist. This appears to be a technical limitation.

"THE HELL ASS BALLS." - Prederick, expressing frustration in the time-honored way.

I never know what I want.
I never ask for electronics or games, because 90% of my family would mess it up, or I'm afraid it's too expensive so I never say anything.
Every year is usually the same. I'll ask for some gift cards in specific places that I like to get my stuff.
I could use some new clothes. It's been a while since I've gone shopping.
