Thanks for coordinating this! I was going to hit the midnight release but someone already pre-ordered the game online for me so I probably won't have it until a few days later.

I will be at a midnight release, and have that friday off of work, not feeling well.
So that is 0100 your time prob 0130 I will be home and playing.
I'll be picking it up at midnight.

Midnight EST works out to 4pm on the 7th here, so if I get the day off and all goes to plan, I'll be at least a few hours in to the campaign and well and truly ready for some multiplayer by the time you're all back from your midnight launches

I may be receiving a copy through another source, but, if that does not appear to be happening, I will be picking up my pre-order at midnight. So, it is entirely possible that I will be around for some post-midnight action.
I would like to suggest that the title be changed to Gears 2 and 2 Beers. Double your pleasure, double your fun!

The Wal-Mart near me shares a parking lot with a Gamestop. I've picked Halo3, GTA 4, and Rock Band 2 all up at midnight at the Wal-Mart. I've been in and out within 15 minutes every time (with no pre-order) and love driving by the people sitting outside on the sidewalk still at Gamestop. I get great joy in knowing that I'm home playing the game before they've even been let in the building.
