Country Singer and actor Jerry Reed died August 31 in Nashville of complications of emphysema. He was 71.

He co-stared in Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds and had country music hits like: "East Bound and Down", "When You're Hot, You're Hot", and "Lord Mr. Ford" to name a few. There were many more.

I will miss the funny twist he put into country songs that made me laugh.
