Neverwinter Nights yes the first one.

Anyone still play/remember this? I ask because a few of us at my job will be playing this again in the very near future. Our weekly D&D 4e fell apart due to lack of interest on the DM and another players part. So I suggested that hey we should try to incorporate 4e rules into NWN and play it online with some other friends in Cali. Now I'm looking for people that have made some interesting modules for the game. So if you got some shoot em my way!

I picked up the game again...the diamond version. I recall that the IGN NWN Vault had a bunch of great modules.

Wouldn't you be better served by going with the Neverwinter Nights 2?
Fear the flames...
That was the question posed by co-workers, I'm gonna borrow a copy and check it out but some of the people are familiar with the Aurora Tool set and not so much with the Electron tool set.

NWN 2 is horrible. I couldn't get past the horrible graphics and kind of crappy menu system, and the single player story was more boring than anything. I wouldn't recommend it.
I did like the first one tho.

I loved NWN and its expansions. I hated NWN2. It felt like several steps backwards.
Variable -> Veeble -> vbl
"Nice boys, guys." - Swampy
I didn't even fight the law.
I don't know, maybe I was more tolerant of RPGs when NWN 1 came out?
But something about the characters and the voice acting just made it unbearable. The dialogue was awful too. =P
Oh, playing Mass Effect before playing NWN2 probably didn't help =)
On the other hand, NWN2 is pretty cheap these days!

If you're going to make adventures for your group to play, I'd go with NWN. Having fiddled about with Electron some during the last couple of weeks, it seems very powerful, but since the outdoor areas aren't tile-based and you have to craft everything yourself, creation times will be about ten times longer. Also, it has a tendency to crash and destroy all the stuff you've been working on all weekend and oh god you didn't make any backups at all, where'sthetower, where'sthegun. And I understand the NWN2 dm client is a lot flakier. Plus, there's a ton more modules out there for NWN.
As for the games you get in the box, the original NWN campaign is rubbish, except for bits of the second chapter. Shadows of Undrentide is better, but still sort of blah, while Hordes of the Underdark is excellent. The NWN2 campaign is a very mixed bag. The story's a hodge-podge of fantasy cliches, it's terribly linear at times, and the first chapter drags horribly with the errand-running for the Watch/Shadow Thieves. But I really like the things around your trial, and running your castle. The Mask of the Betrayer expansion is brilliant however, with a much more imaginative setting, and definite shades of Planescape.
"The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all."
NWN2 is worth it - not so much for the core game but for the expansion pack "Masks of the Betrayer" (which is REALLY good). And of course there's the next expansion due soon which is also looking pretty good ("Storm of Zehir") AND also if they ever get it finished there is "Mysteries of Westgate".
But if your looking for player made custom modules, etc then NWN is the better option. For some reason player-made custom modules haven't really taken off in quite the same way as they did for NWN1 (probably down to the outdoor map crafting no longer being tile based as mentioned).
As mentioned above, NWVault is probably the best place to find them. Just click on NWN in the side menu, then Modules, then sort by "Top Rated".
Bought it, installed it, yawned, kicked myself and didnt even bother to uninstall, I just waited for the yearly HDD format.
If anyone wants it, I'll send it. For FREE!!!

I had a great time with the first one. A couple of friends and I played the whole campaign through via online multiplayer-- I never even touched the singleplayer in that game.
I don't think you'll have much, if any, luck trying to "incorporate 4e rules into NWN ". NWN's got a lot of hardcoded stuff in it.

I've been considering buying NWN2 for awhile now, so I'll take you up on the offer.
