The Next Chicagoland S&T
UPDATE: Taking votes for 9/20 vs. 9/27 for a downtown beer and board games Slat & Tickle (meet and greet). New or recalcitrant members of the Chicago Branch Office are welcome to attend, as well as any visitors from out of town. We promise to keep it light (butt pats only, no full finger-->butt).
I don't know what number we're on. I lot track at around the time we went into decimals.
Anyway, it's come to my attention that we should:
- Make sure all of us have had a chance to play Catan,
- Take pictures of ourselves doing the Ken Levine pose at the Michigan Ave. Bridge, and
- Hang out more.
I'll be sure to update this post as we get details, locations, dates, and an S&T number. For now, let us scheme!

I wish we could make Wandy's house the "default" meeting place
It was the perfect location for me, I must say... although I'm sure the others might disagree.
I'm down for a board-gaming day. I was going to bring my copy of Formula De the last time, but decided against it. I'd love to get everyone else to give it a shot, though. I greatly miss playing.

I think technically we are on number 5. Wandy's was 4.5. I have offered up my basement as the location for running our D&D campaign since there is easy access to trains, and I have an octagonal gaming table in my basement. I would be up for whatever whenever. I don't know if running D&D would technically constitute a S&T though. Anyhow, that is what I know.

I might consider making an encore appearance after my awkward debut.

If we are looking for a more casual board gaming S&T, I would happily still offer up my basement. We have the aforementioned octagonal gaming table, as well as a 6 person kitchen table. So, we could definitely have two gaming tables going.
I request there to be an appearance of Cash and Guns Yakuza and Red Dragon Inn.

We picked up Red Dragon Inn I so that we could combine it with McChuck's copy of the sequel, thus accommodating 8 players. Jazzy was looking at the Yakuza expansion, but I'm not sure he ended up buying it.

Also, I've never played Catan.

If I can talk Debby into doing some board gaming (she's always afraid of playing games with people when she hasn't played them before because... well, I'm not entirely sure why she doesn't like it, since everyone has to learn sometime.
) then I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if we can coordinate it with a visit to Fyedaddy.
You're both right. I STOLE IT!!!
Actually, only Rocky's right.

You can let her know there is a not-so-gamer girl that tend to be around, sometimes with a book. If she knows y'all put up with me, she might feel more comfortable.

We both enjoyed hanging out with you guys back in the spring, so at least it's not a matter of her being afraid to meet you all or anything.
I'll try to talk her into it!
I've got one of those non-gamey girlfriends, too. I bet she'd enjoy coming along if there was something else to do

Rashes are an important part of why we don't want furry suits.

Whatev's. I saw you eying those tails at GenCon.
You know you would chase my tail all day if I had one
Edit: That's right. Online flirting and sass. And all of you not involved just have to suffer through it. HA! hahaha....
"I can't knife you right now. I have a chair and some pants."
yeah, can't you two just do all that stuff offline?

I'm in like Eryl Flynn, 'cept w/out the drugs and with more swashbuckling.
I'll bring along Battlelore (long and geeky), Horus (neat and ponderous), and my wife (smart and sassy). You can only play the first two.

That being said, I start weekend classes in Sept, so can we do a late evening kinda thing?
"I can't knife you right now. I have a chair and some pants."
What do you consider late evening?
Also, where are we proposing to do it? Like I said Colleen and I are happy to host it at our house, but I haven't heard a definitive answer.

Wait, are folks looking to me for a definitive answer? I only give those when I'm drinking, and even then they're usually formulated more for comedic effect than for being good ideas.

I get out of class at 5, so no earlier than 6.
Also, you should all know by now that I handle all the planning and decision making in this relationship.

My contribution: D&D now. S&T later.
JUST PUZZLED YOUR ASS UP, SON! -Mr Crinkle
Yeah, I guess I should start a thread for that D&D thing seperately. I'm happy to host you all again on the weekend of the 13th of September up in Lindenhurst, unless Roky wants to host that as well. How does that weekend look for everyone?
Edit: Wait, I may be painting that weekend. More to come.

Rocky's and smythe's are good places for me if we want more frequent D&D sessions until I move.
JUST PUZZLED YOUR ASS UP, SON! -Mr Crinkle
I'm happy to have the D&D at my place. I have a great gaming table in the basement. Wandy do you want to start a thread since you are DMing?

Hey, let's get talking about a non-D&D S&T.
