There is also a bit in the last post on Penny Arcade's main site. They don't say the name of the city, but the company is based out of New York.
Although Atlanta would be more convenient for me, New York might get the wife to come, as long as we spend some time doing the New York tourist thing.

Please be in New York!
Do not disturb the Witch. Do not approach the Witch. Do not fire at the Witch. Do not point your flashlight at the Witch. Do not even look at the Witch, even with your flashlight off, even from a distance, ever.
O M G! This is awesome!

Maybe they'll go further down the coast, for ease of access.
I can hope!

Interesting, though being in New York would be far enough away that I'd still end up preferring to attend PAX in Seattle (free lodging).

Come to Boston! New York would be cool though, I'd consider going!

Boston or NY, or OTTAWA
I don't mind the drive to Mass, but there's no way for me to make it to Seattle.
You can't do this!

Obviously the best place would be Raleigh. How this hasn't occurred to anyone but me is fascinating.
Rock Band Name Generator!... too funny to merely be coincidence.

Everybody its obvious they're going to New Haven. Why wouldn't they? New Haven's got...um. Derelict industrial buildings!

How much has entry been to these events in the past, or is it an open-door deal? This could be a cool thing to check out!

I'd understand if they have it in New York but if they do it in Atlanta I'm SO there.
I just hope I'm not too friggin' old and look like a doofus.
When you misplace something you do not "loose" it. When you sneak a look at something you do not "peak" at it. And for God's sake the words "funner" and "funnest" do not exist.
Clearly the solution is to act and dress like you think some one who is not "too friggn' pld" would. That way you can across as dignified and not goofy.
I hear the "not too friggin' old" have a penchant for the word "eXtreme" and enjoy baggy pants.

I don't have any details on the east coast event, but this should give you some ideas.

Thanks for the link! The Javitz Center is a great place for conventions, but the amount of mobster rules in that place is insane. I worked a show there, and you weren't even allowed to wheel your own stuff to your space. When the stuff got to your space, then you could do whatever. If you needed something hung or nailed or placed in a common area, it was off-limits to you, some $30 per hour guy had to do it. Still, think I'll have to check this out in a couple of years, if it's local. If I remember.

I don't know how hotel prices compare in Seattle but, having just come from a couple nights in New York on business, I'd say that the cost of lodging would be cost prohibitive for a significant percentage of their target audience. IMHO.

New York has the population (and Reed has done the NYCC), but Boston has the college crowd. Either way, nothing a 3-hour car/train/bus-ride can't fix.
Hmm, I wonder if this would be a spring time show as PAX is in the fall? Being in Texas I can go to both. Then hopefully I can get free drinks from fellow Goodjer's as I will be the out of towner!

Totally. Epic needs to convince them to hold it in RTP.

You underestimate how unreliable amtrak is. I once got delayed 9 hours on that 3 hour train ride.I usually plan for at least an hour in delays.

New York would be... acceptable, I guess. But they should come to Pittsburgh. We have a huge, new convention center.
