But, I mean... seriously. This is just god damn insulting.
Also, I lol'ed at the thought of Jade Raymond watching this video, and being angry at the title of "producer" being thrown around.

(I'm assuming that it's a not-so-subtle jab at all the drooly fantards that went bonkers over Ms. Raymond while pretty much ignoring Assassin's Creed. If it's not... well, let's just say that I prefer to think that it is.)

Lots of people don't want anything deep in there video games, they're not interested in story or interesting new mechanics, they just want to blow sh*t up and slapping some chick with some big jugs on it is a nice bonus.

Thanks for playing squarex, maybe next time you'll put together an ad campaign based more on gameplay and the strengths of your features (no, not Tera Patrick's features) and attract a more mature, more ethical audience.
I consider it stupid, too, but thought the best thing to be done about it is not opening a thread and linking to that video, thus giving them the attention they're craving for...
Seems like satire to me. I highly doubt they think having a porn-star semi-strip in an online video is going to affect sales.

I've never been a fan of Tera Patrick's work, so her attachment to this project just makes me question its value. Give me someone like Shyla Styles or Cherokee D'Ass.
I think it's fine as long as the number of people that decide "man, I was following this game but I don't want these guys to have my money now." is greater than the number of people that go "Well I wasn't going to buy this game, but I will now!"
I guess it's a step up from Gary Buesey.

I love it, it's exactly what I want and expect from the series, an over the top and goofy sandbox to play in that contrasts to the stark and realistic Niko Bellic. Boobs and rocket launchers!

Yeah, they're definitely targeting the horny 13 yr-old boys here... The game actually looks kind of fun though, the trailer could've had more potential without the cheesy attempt at sex appeal.

They're doing a great job of boosting awareness of their '#2, under the radar urban sandbox' game. A lot of #2 games out there quietly accept the #2 role and whither a bit with a quality, but unheard of game. Saints Row 1 was quality. I have no doubt SR2 will be and the more people who see clips from the game, the better for them.
The only downside could be being targeted by the next Jacko Thompson but that would probably also increase sales anyways.

I guess this plays to their intended market segment. I'm a bit sad that Saints Row is so offensively juvenile since it plays a lot better than GTA, which I guess is also offensively juvenile. I wonder if its possible to make an urban action game with good controls that is not also offensively juvenile.

That was simply a stupid ad by itself. But like others have said, taking it as a satire of the Assassin's Creed promotional stuff, it's hilarious.
Zero interest in the game prior to this. Negative interest in it now. But I'm sure I'll be accused of being a pirate because I didn't buy it.

You're missing the point though, Saints Row is awesome because it's offensively juvenile. Sometimes you want a mature game with a compelling story, and sometimes you just want to blow shiat up!
I wholeheartedly endorse this game and all advertising that goes along with it!

This video may seem over the top, but I think this ad is consistent with the humor and satire within the first Saint's Row. I recently restarted playing Saints Row 1 after it had fallen into my gaming backlog for over a year. Saint's Row has solid gameplay, a good story, intuitive and effective controls and some really challenging missions. While playing, I realized that I am enjoying it more than the more serious direction GTA IV has taken. Saint's Row is just stupidly fun
