As I think I mentioned briefly in the other thread (didn't expect this to be up so early), I'll be in Michigan camping with my oldest son most of next week. I'll be getting back in town on Thursday, but figured it's probably best to keep a day or two free. I may wind up on-line Friday or Saturday, and if so will be happy to hop in if needed.

Unless you're running out of mana overhealing is the most worthless stat in the game. Underhealing is effectively known as "wiping".

Tannymiss - Warrior - prot spec but will change to dps if necessary - Kara. I am wanting to be able to eventually tank the likes of Kara. I could do Kara as far as my armor would let me and then I could bring in Maloratus.
Times this week: Tuesday, Friday and Sunday nights would be good with the earlier start preferred. I need to log by 11:00 EST.

UT enjoyed the gruuls run and I was talking with vilius were thinking of putting together another joint run about the same time next week. We're thinking maybe some SSC or even TK (we're going to get together later and talk it out more before we decide) if ya want to put in some feedback just let us know.
Don't blame me if the heals suck you're the one who said the shadow priest had to heal.
Great to hear that the joint run worked out well. Hopefully I will be up to joining in on one in the near future.
We're out of town this weekend but hopefully the next weekend will work better.
At first, I was a little sad I didn't get into the "official" Kara group, but this gives me the time I need to farm some stuff...
1) Honor. I'm 6k away from my new tanking weapon, the Merciless Gladiator's Gavel. And I got to see Ivus last night.
2) Mats for the Armor Kit for my upcoming leg upgrade. I'm torn between going with the +30 Stamina one and the +40. Not sure it's worth a Primal Nether right now, but the leather mats are easy and the motes of earth just take patience. Plenty of those come along with the Nagrand dailies, anyway.
3) Helping Cutiepi level her priest and potentially work on my hunter.
I only need 6 badges for my pants, so I may try to get a heroic or 2 this week, and I should have my enchant ready as soon as I buy the pants. I already have the gems. Wheeee!

Who is Ivus?
Ivus is a big huge can of whoopass.
It takes forever to collect the drops to turn in for the quest to summon him, and you need several other folks to help summon him, and you have to protect him from being kited and despawning, but he is a big, bad, mutha.
Since a "good" AV team can finish AV in under 10 minutes, you don't see him any more. Well, so I thought. But if you happen on a "bad" AV, where noone's on offense, you may just get to see him, like I did last night.
I wish those quests were more doable, but 10 minutes just isn't enough time for it to matter.

Oh man, I've always wanted to be in a "proper" AV match where the quests and elites came out to play!
If you need Primal earth let me know. I mine up tons of it and I think I have about 40 in the bank at the moment.

One of my best WOW memories, pre-BC, is kiting the Horde equivalent to Ivus, Lokholar the Frost Lord(?). Once they have aggro, they don't give up, so you can pull them anywhere on the battlefield.
With my pvp-gear speed boost, I was just a hair faster than a regular horse in cheetah form, which is enough to stay ahead of him. I was trying to kite him back to the initial spawn point for the Alliance, because the NPCs there will keep respawning and will kill him, but I took a wrong turn. Instead of going up the hill, I went left, to Stormpike Graveyard; I managed to get to the flag before the Hordies finally got me.
Boy, was I mad at myself for going the wrong way, but that actually ended up working, because we spawned fast enough to keep him there and to kill him before the Horde could fully assemble to defend him. We went on to win that match; it was an epic battle, but we gradually ground them down and took them out.
Low honor-per-hour, but high fun level.
I agree that the current system is kind of broken. All the really fun stuff has been short circuited.

HeeroPrince was not able to log on tonight. Corupted file issues. She has access to my computer now but too late for the run. When I try to download the latest patch for her it almost is finished then says File Error.
I know you helped me with that same problem on my computer months ago. What files do I have to delete to get the patch to download again?

In your main WoW directory, there should be a file called Repair with an icon that looks like a blue wrench, have you tried that yet?
Kara run made it to Aran last night. Don't know when a good chunk of us can get back in there. Maybe Friday?
Still have Nightbane, Netherspite, Chess, Prince, and Illhoof to do.
