Total goodjer mass = - ~ (EDIT) 80 lbs (I mostly blame you)
*NEW*
I thought I would edit this post seeing that it is the end of summer.
I am now <260 lbs, which means that I have lost around 80 lbs; I fit into large shirts now, which is F&*king awsome.
Anyways, I have a physical this week and I will start discussing a reasonable end goal, but right now I can almost taste the century.

So, back in March (after a birthday "crisis"), and after reading a few other posts here on the subject of weight loss.
http://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/36995
I decided to get back into the game and lose some weight. Started off at ~340 lbs and have, after my last weigh in, just dropped below 290. I still have along way to go, but thought I would send a huge shout out to the several posts on the topic (DSgamer and wife had a few very motivational ones as well), helping keep me motivated.
Being able to buy an XL shirt and wearing it for the first time in my adult life is pretty cool, and I have really noticed a difference in my day to day stuff (I walked up to my office the other day, 7 flights of stairs and did not die of a heart attack, which was nice).
So, Thanks to those who have previously posted, it was a big encouragement.

congrats. Keep up the good work.

Congrats! That is some impressive weight loss. Keep it up and one day maybe you can beat DSGamer in a triathlon.

Technically, that's weight, not mass.

You're an inspiration! Great job.
I'm not lost. I'm locationally challenged.

Well then, calculate the mass lost by the gravity effect and atmospheric pressure at Hanta's domicile already!

HAHA, I knew someone was going to write this, I had even written out a P.S. mentioning it, but deleted it because I didn't think it mattered; you proved me wrong.
Yeah, but can you have weight, but no mass?
Anyways Congrats on the weight loss, and keep up the good work.
Fear the flames...
Keep this up, and you might be able to catch me.
Guess I should hit the weights more.

I don't have problems picking people up, though. I'm more concerned with hitting things.

Awesome man. Loosing weight is a bitch (wrestling, I curse weigh ins).
Keep it up man, your 5 pounds away from a weight class.
after 285 its 215, but all 215 wrestlers are dicks.

Seriously, that is so f**king awesome.

Woot! That's an awesome accomplishment that you should be proud of. Keep at it and don't let the blasé of the colder months slow you down!

Yea, I'm hoping that it won't be an issue, and hopefully at that point I can work on keeping weight on, rather than continuing to lose. Who knows, it may be that we dont get snow till late this year and I can continue running outdoors.
Yeah, it takes dedication and a hearty soul to keep at it in the cold and snow. My sister runs year round, through weather that would make a postman proud, but I fear coming west has acclimated me to more temperate climes. I have become one of those dreadful fair-weather wussies. -sigh-

Awesome! It is always hard to stick with things when you don't see results in the beginning. Nice work on sticking it out!
