Ipod touch problem

I'm having a minor problem with my Ipod touch. I find I'm not able to fast forward or reverse using the very innaccurate scroll bar. For instance, if I'm listening to a one hour podcast, I might want to jump forward 30 minutes past an interview. But it won't let me. I can move the small indicator on the timeline, but it just jumps right back to where I'm currently listening after a couple of seconds. Can anyone help with this?

It's an apple product. Throw it out and get something else Sorry, I hate Apple so had to throw my two cents in. Maybe someone else can help you.

Well, I prefer not to throw out my $400 mp3 player if that's okay. I had a nightmare with this 2.0 switch and ended up being happy just to get it back the way it was, only now I can't scroll through the audio/video files the way I want to. Any else?

Has it ever worked?

do you get the similar behavior when you try to FF mp3s as well? what you are describing sounds like what my iTunes does when I try to FF a streaming source. Otherwise I'm stumped as well.

ps. I'm poor as hell and can't afford any fancy gadgets. So an iPod Touch question for me is kind like a Ferrari owner asking how to achieve better gas mileage

except the iPod Touch is more like the VW Bug then a Farrari. People buy it because it looks good, not because it is good.

No offense kazar, but you're not really contributing to the conversation.

From what I've heard, this is a feature that they borked, and not an actual bug.

I just tried it out at work using my touch. I did the 2.0 upgrade and it seems to be working fine moving forwards/back. This the same on all files?
