I was on Evil Avatar a bit earlier and they've got a link posted to the Max Payne teaser trailer on Shacknews.
I actually want to see it now.

I just hope there's more to the movie than the trailer because the trailer was awesome, but it feels like the rest may not be as good.

Hopefully Mark doesn't do what I did in the dream sequences and get lost for about an hour running through the maze.

Maybe this is a sign that the industry is going to start treating game stories seriously. Hopefully this will signal an end to that ass hat Uwe Boll ruining games with his filth.

The two shooting scenes from the trailer just look silly. Jumping four meters, shooting a gun without bullet time or any gun porn? And what's with the clutch of swat being mowed down like goose?
All the bits seem to be there, the film noir tragics, the 'let go' attitude, the lust, the love, the booze, the violence, though from that trailer I don't get the impression it fits together. Perhaps it is the sound track, the weeping guitars don't seem to be able to pull in the right grim atmosphere, but get stuck at a mediocre sadness, graveyard theme.
You can tell I had expectations, can't you?

I mean, the music was fine and all...but that Cello theme is just so perfectly haunting, it's quintessential Max Payne. The trailer looked cool and I was pleasently surprised by Mila Kunis, but that Damn Cello theme had better be in there.

I thought they were called "pain killers," which I interpreted as more like Vicodin. I thought it mixed well with Max's strangely detached demeanor, and all the illicit drug use.
