It just seemed like there was nothing "new" to his material. Almost as if I've heard it all before.
Edit: But at the same time, he does have very good stage presence. If he could ever come up with some good material, he would truly kick ass.

I'm a big fan of Tim Minchin. I came across him randomly on Youtube a few months back. Rock and Roll Nerd and Not Perfect are great songs.
