one movie, one album, one game, one book

We all have our favorite forms of media. We've all contributed to "best of" lists.
What if someone asked you to list them all?
Call it a Desert Island greatest hits, or maybe the aliens land, seeking representations of intelligent life.
How would you reply?
I'll start.
Movie: Amélie (2001)
Album: Roni Size/Reprazent - New Forms (1997)
Game: No One Lives Forever (2000)
Book: Dostoevsky - The Brothers Karamazov (1880)
What say you?

At this exact moment, mine would look something like...
Movie: Star Wars (1977)
Album: Dream Theater - Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a Memory (1999)
Game: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003)
Book: Tolkien - The Lord of the Rings (1954-5)
I'm not very original, as dorks go. Can't be helped.
Yours,
Darth Krzysztof

Movie - Ran
Album - Kaki King, ...Until We Felt Red
Game - Silent Hill 2

Off the top of my head with as little thinking as possible:
Movie - Sixteen Candles
Album - OK Computer - Radiohead
Game - Lord of the Rings Online
Book - Excession - Iain M. Banks
Fun topic!

Movie: The Godfather: Part II (1974)
Album: Weezer - Blue Album (1994) - Tool's Ænima is a close second
Game: Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh (1987)
Book: A.E. van Vogt - The World of Ā (1948) - I prefer this slightly to The Voyage of the Space Beagle. I someday hope to inherit my Dad's collection of golden-age sci-fi lit.
Site note: I also enjoy New Forms quite a bit, but wft with In The Mode? I'm afraid to listen to anything but New Forms now in case I lose all respect for Roni Size.
Return to V is excellent.

After a bit of thought for some of these here is my list.
Movie: The 5th Element (1997)
A movie I can easily watch back to back in one sitting.
Aliens (The 2nd one), Godfather II and Star Wars (Ep 4) are all a close second.
Album: nine inch nails (NIN)- Pretty Hate Machine (Halo 2) (1989)
Was such a significant album in my teenage years, I can't express it's affect on me.
I now own every single NIN album from beginning to present and even a few imports.
Game: Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar (1985)
As a teenager this game was my first significant addiction in the realm of role-playing computer games.
Which carried me through 5 and 6 in the series as well.
Book: Orson Scott Card: Ender's Game (1977)
Read this in Junior High twice back to back. I couldn't get enough of it. I still revisit it once in a while. I dream of owning an original hardback 1st run copy signed by Card.
The Robotech books were a close second in those days and were better than the cartoon by far.
