I've been waiting for this to come out for a while. It kind of snuck up on me though. I just saw a commercial for it last night. Apparently it is coming to stores tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24th. I really enjoyed Bender's Big Score and I hope this one lives up to the last.

Target had the last one for $20 the day it was out, so I'll be checking for it tomorrow on my way home from work. Took me a few watches to warm up to Bender's Big Score, but I did. Looking forward to more Futurama!

Seen it. This "movie," for me, was MUCH better than the last one... they weren't trying so hard to cram every little Futurama reference into 80 minutes. TBWABB plays more like an extended regular episode, which is a GOOD thing.

Yeah, it did seem the one problem with Bender's Big Score was that Groening was trying to tell us he remembers all the characters.

I really enjoyed this one. I can't really decide which of the two movies are better though. To me both are great for different reasons. Bender's Big Score had lots of things going on that were funny and tied up loose ends, while this movie had a good consistent and refreshing theme that kept me interested the whole time.

Also for this movie, you knew exactly what is going to happen at the end from nearly the very beginning, but somehow you are still glued to your seat until the very end.

spoiler:

Quote:

So in futurama's universe, Robots controls Hell, an Alien controls the Heaven. What does that speak of the humans? Also, I kinda hoped to see the "Robot Devil" bring his troops to do a major battle in "Heaven" and have a verbal battle with the "Tentacle God." I wonder what they would say to each other in this weird Universe

I am very much looking forward to this one.

Bender's Big Score actually made me like Futurama better than I did before.

Until BBS, I refused to watch Jurassic Bark in season 4 (the one with the dog) because it made my wife cry, and I was angry at them for doing that. (According to the BBS commentary-- and Futurama Commentary tracks are some of the finest in DVDdom-- a lot of fans were angry about that episode.)

BBS actually redeems that episode, in my opinion, by making it clear that the dog didn't just sit there outside the pizza place waiting for Fry to return until he died.

I can finally say that there really isn't a bad episode of Futurama because of BBS. It's like Executive powder! There's nothing it can't do.

The commentaries are amazing. Still watch them on a regular basis even if I've seen the episode a million times.

I thought very much like you did, DT. I even brazenly popped in that episode, thinking Well, everything turns out okay in the end, so it shouldn't upset me.. I still bawled.
