Looking for: PDA

I am looking for a PDA that will synch with iCal-a must, that I can read pdf's on, hopefully one that I can have an NIV Bible on, one that can surf the web and get my e-mail when connected to the net and preferably synch with mac mail as well. It also needs to do notes, which I dont think a PDA doesnt have the ability to do anymore.

I have my Blackberry Curve through TMO, but am wanting to get away from a smart phone, or find a smart phone that will synch with iCal and MacMail. As far as price goes, not too expensive-best judgment since I do tech support

I have looked at palms but cant tell if they synch or not, and I am almost positive a mobile 5/6 device wont and dont know any other decent PDA makers out there

I use a Treo 755P and love it. I don't use i-cal, but check this out. All the other stuff you mention is easy; seems like it can do i-app syncs through the desktop app.

Extremism in the defense of liberty *is* a vice. It has been since the first Crown Loyalist was tarred, feathered and set afire, and it's no better now. It corrupts first the individual, then ultimately the institution it defends.

unfortunately iCan syncing is a big thing for me since I use iCan every day.

Blackberry can sync with iCal and Mail.app just fine - http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/mac.jsp

Treo's also sync with iCal just fine.

Windows Mobile devices can sync with iCal using Pocketmac or Missing Sync.

But if you like the Blackberry, just use RIM's sync app and you're good to go...meanwhile...spend some more time researching this stuff. A Google search of "palm treo sync os x" came up with over 100,000 hits...

pocketmac has never worked for syncing my mail or my iCal, I dont trust windows mobile, and nothing on Palms website hinted one way or the other from any of the product specs of their PDA's

I will do more and more research next time, this thread was not asking how to get those to work but what some people here might suggest a device that works well for the services I was wanting.

I guess it's too obvious to suggest an iPhone or an iPod Touch?
