Soul Bubbles... probably the worst name for a game I've ever seen... HOWEVER, this Europe-only (for now) game is the DS equivalent of Sony's LocoRoco, full of charm, style, and perhaps the best use of stylus control I've seen.
If you live in Europe, you must check this game out. If you live in the US, you can import the game through Play Asia for $32.90, or find the ROM floating around in the usual places.
Seriously, this is probably the best "original" DS game I've played in months. I hope we see a US release for this game ASAP.

That really is a crappy name for a game, but I'll certainly keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the heads up, Matt.

I completely ignored the game because of the title, but now you have me hooked. From the article it seems to me somehow Okami-esque, which is definitely a good thing.
You can't take the sky from me.
According to IGN this has a July 1 release in the US.
That's good news. Hopefully it comes to pass.
It's hard to describe why this game is so fun... like I said, it's essentially LocoRoco + Yoshi's Island in a weird way-- you have 7 "souls" that you need to shepherd from start to finish on each level. You get three different "masks" to use (mapped to the d-pad)... one mask lets you use the stylus to draw bubbles (you encase the souls in a bubble to be able to move them and protect them from harm), one lets you cut things (some gaps are too small, so you have to cut the bubble into smaller bubbles, which can then be rejoined in the same way), and the third lets you suck the air out of bubbles to make them smaller. Once you have you souls in a bubble, your little avatar guy blows the bubble through the stages. Keep in mind, as I Said, that everything is controlled with the stylus. You slide the stylus to make the wind blow in a particular direction, tap on rocks and enemies to crush/kill them, slash the screen to cut bubbles, vines, and the tongues of certain lizard enemies...
You can lose one of your souls by being careless (having the enemies steal them/kill them), but so far that hasn't been too big of an issue. Like LocoRoco, there are three "bonus" objects you're looking for in each level (although I have no idea what they are used for). There are seven differently themed worlds to offer up some environmental variety.
As I said, this is definitely a game to look out for... I just wish they'd have come up with a better name! The name and logo give the complete WRONG impression.

Really? Because I see it as listed on Target and and Amazon (admittedly through Target) as well for December 3rd release.
