Portal - New map pack based on Flash Version
Figured I'd help everyone breathe some new life into 2007's GWJ GOTY - figured this addon was significant enough to warrant it's own post.
The Flash version of portal was featured on the front page some time ago. Well, some intrepid modders have created an extensive set of levels based on the flash version.
As seen on last weeks 1UP Show, this pack features about 3 and a half hours of gameplay in one continuous experience, much like the original. It's structured pretty similarly too, and even has some portal "lore" thrown in, though it's obviously not canon.
Essentially, it's like an unofficial expansion that picks up where the first left off in terms of difficulty - it assumes you were able to beat portal and ramps up the difficulty a notch without getting ridiculous. The level design is also top-notch.
Get it here. Free! God bless modders.

XBLA / Steam: Dysplastic

This was mentioned by me and someone else in two other threads - one in the portal front page thread and one in the portal catch-all....
I'm sorry but i'm going to have to cough.... and cough hard
*cough*
Of - power - insessantly
Plagued - by - malefisense
Doomed - to - insidious -
Death - is - he - who - breaks
this - monument - i - prophesy
Considering I never saw this before, and it's awesome, I think a stand alone post is more then warranted.
Excellent find!

Yeah, as much as I loved Portal, it was so short that I haven't even glanced at the other Portal threads in ages. This sounds great, I'll have to pick it up.
Sorry Duoae, you're right - because the 1UP show just covered it now I assumed it had just come out, and since the portal catch-all was nowhere in sight I assumed I was the first to post. My apologies. Though I'm deflecting your cough onto the 1UP network for covering a map-pack a month and a half after it's release, and misleading me!
*Cough*
