I'm grabbing the patch off their website now; does it include Punkbuster?
Man, EA sure does want you to jump through their hoops to play a game you paid for. I now have five thousand different EA/BF2/BF2142 accounts, and have given them my e-mail, Xbox Live Gamertag, date of birth, and contact info for my next of kin.

Yep, its a pain.
As to Punkbuster it supposedly automatically updates but it can be wonky. If you find yourself getting kicked because of it go to their site and download the manual update.

I think I'm picking this up at lunch today. Fed talked me and some other people into it. So I'll try to join in, but kind of difficult to promise with the 4-year-old etc. etc.....

I'm sort of searching for a good FPS at the moment, and none has rocked me since BF2, so I'm checking this out at long last. Need a good game with some GWJ support.
