New month, new list... well not that new. I think there's quite a few roll-overs from May. Let's get to it and start knocking these things out.

This month's Pick of the Pile is:

Bioshock

"After your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Constructed as an idealistic society for a hand picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, the idealism is no more. Now the city is littered with corpses, wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors as little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn." (Take2.com)

I'm going to finish up MGS2. I might add another title later, but I'm going to finish this stupid, convoluted game is if kills me.

Edit - If I missed any of the roll-overs, let me know. I believe I got them all.

I, er, will be in London for most of the month. I'll bring my PSP on the rare chance that I'll have some free time away from adventuring, but I'm not committing to anything besides Patapon (I am halfway through it already and don't leave until the 6th).

Well, I hadn't been at home much this past May, so none of my console choices were finished

I'm almost done Metal Gear Ac!d for the PSP, so put me down for that. Also working on Patapon and Metal Gear Portable.

I put you down for all three. I'm mean like that. Don't mention 'em if you don't want them up there for everyone to ridicule when you don't complete them...

...Hmm, that may be an inner monologue with myself. Not quite sure.

Put me down for Bioshock, I've owned it since December but haven't played it due to wanting to experience it with all the pretty graphics, and I've just now got my pc upgraded to the point where that's possible.

List should be current. It's looking like Patapon is getting quite a bit of love this month. Maybe we'll start doing a Pick 'O the Pile each month based on most people playing.

Could the directions for the Rain Miracle have been any MORE obtuse? It's pretty damn easy now that I figure it out but they certainly didn't give good instructions on the beat pattern for it!

I will conquer Bioshock this month. May as well also add Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, I hope to get to the end of that one soon.

I haven't jumped into the pile for a while....how about HL2 (360) for June? That sounds possible.

Alright here goes, put me down for:

Shadow of the Colossus - I'm on the last colossi yet haven't touched the game since late last year. Shame!
Ratchet and Clank (first one) - I've been working on R&C since I got it last year. After 2 restarts, I think it's time I finished it.
Phantom Hourglass - It's been sitting in my DS nearly complete for months, time to knock it out!

Good luck this month everyone!

I think i'm on my third month now of saying "Okami!" Its just not happening. I'm finding it harder and harder to pick up my wiimote these days....maybe June will be different.
Also: Mass effect just came out for PC, but does it still qualify as a "pile of shame" game? If so, sign me up!

Oh, good Lord. Any game I play is going to warrant a spot on this list. Put me down for Gears of War (360), and C&C3 (PC). Time to clear the pile, eh?

List should be current. Just a friendly reminder, if your game is out on more than one platform, I will list it in "Multi-Platform." That way, people across hardware can talk about the game.

Dysplastic, I went ahead and listed Mass Effect with the hope some other 360 players will join in.

I doubt I will be able to finish it as my gaming time will be limited this month due to vacation and some other stuff, but go ahead and put me down for Bioshock. I haven't even started it yet, but hopefully I can at least get most of the way through it before the deadline.

Bioshock and Patapon are tied with most players this month. I'll go with a Pick 'O the Pile Tuesday after work to give more people a chance to sign on.

What about the level where you have to use it more than once while on the hot desert sand? Ugh so annoying! I lost my entire army twice before I got by with pure luck.

I think I'm going to try to finish my on again, off again, relationship with Beyond Good and Evil on the Gamecube. My strategy of playing for half an hour every few months haven't quite worked out over the years, but this is the month, I can feel it.

I am slightly confused about what exactly is going on here, but if my assumptions are correct, you're all planning to overthrow the government? Either way, I will definitely finish Metal Gear Solid 4 this month. And before that, maybe Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. Or maybe GTA4 on 360.

And definitely Lost Planet on PC, but that's for work so I don't have a choice.

Am I doing this right? Do I even understand what's happening?

I dunno how, but once I figured it out it just "clicked". I haven't had a problem getting the rain miracle since.

That being said, it took me a good hour to hour and a half to figure out WHAT that damn pattern is. The patapons sing it when you hit fever mode in the training for the miracle but you can barely hear them.

Out of all those, Portable Ops and Lost Planet would qualify.

These are games from our Pile of Shame. Titles that you've had for a while and haven't finished, or started at all. I'm not listing games that are one or two months old. The Pile thread used to be a book page on the old site, so any registered user could edit the post to add or remove titles or their names next to the title. I started the monthly threads to get us started on clearing the backlog.

Bioshock has jumped to the lead in this month's Pick of the Pile*. One more day to sign up, before the Pick is selected. After that, you can still throw your game out there, it just won't count towards the Pick selection.

* - I'm trying something new this month. The game with the most people playing it will get Pick of the Pile status. I'll edit the first post to "spruce it up" a bit.
