A couple of years ago I caught the end of the Futurama episode "Roswell That Ends Well" , and I had to check online that it wasn't part of a Futurama movie. I think it was a combonation of a time travel episode and a more than average helping of CGI animation that made me feel like I was watching a movie. Here's a list of television episodes that felt like movies or could be fleshed out into full movies. What are some episodes that you feel this way about? Two part episodes are OK, but feel a bit like cheating.

Futurama - Roswell That Ends Well
Like I mentioned, lots of CGI and a time travel episode with a big escape scene at the end.

MacGuyver - The Widowmaker (seriously)
After a tramatic incident at the begining our hero calls it quits and goes off into the woods. But an old nemesis comes back to bring him out of retirement! The final showdown brings him back to the scene of our hero's original trama.

Doctor Who - Blink (but not a Doctor Who movie)
Just a great story. I could see this being developed into a thriller whether the man on all the recordings is The Doctor or not.

Simpsons - Kamp Krusty
OK, I cheated. I read somewhere that the original script for this was considered for a Simpsons movie. Strong and seperate plots for both the Bart/Lisa and Homer/Marge stories.

I tried to come up with some Battlestar Galactica or Sopranos episodes, but with the larger story arcs it is difficult to pull just one episode out.
