Hell, give it to Uwe.

When I first saw this, I thought it must have been a joke... But logic fails again it seems...

Now there's an idea. It'd be like 2001, only with ghosts and pill-popping.

There are some cinematic turds even Uwe Boll wont touch... but I've been wrong before.

The producer is going to make a Castlevania movie as well.

This is the worst idea for a film.
I will watch this movie. Especially when he has to decipher why a pixelated "1000" floated into the air and disappeared when he ate some cherries.

It'd be interesting to see him eat the ghosts. And to see their mouths turn into squiggly lines like that. They really should get Cronenburg to direct this though.

based on past history of hollywoods treatment of video game adaptations i don't think Pac Man is necessarily a weak IP.
Most video game movies are poorly adapted anyway. Even the game with the easiest adaptation, Resident Evil, was horribly botched, although the first one wasn't a bad movie, it had little to do with the games.

Well, they've optioned worse things.

It's hard to see what they could do with Pac-Man, but that's easy. I admit I haven't read the book, but the basic message of it could be used for a disgustingly successful movie.
Opening scene: A girl sitting on a bed, staring at her phone. Background music: "Waiting is the Hardest Part".
Cut to two guys sitting on a couch playing Xbox.
Guy 1: "Are you going to give that girl a call?"
Guy 2: "What girl?"
Cut to Title.
Then use a series of short (hopefully humorous, possibly interconnected) stories to illustrate the various checklists and so on that I'm sure the book is packed with. For standard sappy hollywood ending, girl sees the error of her ways and finds Mr Right.
Fine, so I'm no movie exec.

Aaaaaaand, which one do we think the actual movie will be more like?
Should we take a poll?
