So does anyone know when we start getting our damn bloodmoney and PvP experience? Its not happening on the PvP areas of Tortage, so does it begin at 20.1?

Well, Cooking Mama didn't help me become a better cook, and Trauma Center certainly didn't help me become a better surgeon. I have the proof of both sitting in my freezer. -- imbiginjapan

Not at 20 so far... I'm not sure what's up with that... I was willing myself up to head into the official forums to find out.

I'll put my info here, then, too...

Aesildur - Priest of Mitra

A lot of fun, just as I remembered... and the PvP stuff is just insane. White Sands.. not a place to tread alone if you can help it!

What my biggest hurdle is going to be, I think, is seeing how far I can take my PoM with a lot of off hour play times. I have early mornings and late nights that I can "wile away the time" in and I am probably going to have to learn how to avoid trouble, play off the beaten path, and develop strong defensive skills.

Wired, any way you can open up the invites? I tried to get Ranalyn to but he couldn't. I also have about 5 people I'll be bringing on board. We'll be on later tonight so hopefully we can get in.

Yea one of the changes that happened from beta to EA was that only the top 2 ranks can invite. We were playing around with it after the guild was created, but forgot to promote people.

It was a tad late and i think we were on the loopy side

Do far I've only gotten my Demonologist Amonra to lvl 11. Looking forward to joining the guild. Anyone got any suggestions for a PvP noob on how/where to practice?

Certis had this in the PvE thread for guild stuff, maybe it can apply here?

Quote:

1) Open the Players & PvP Window. (Top left of screen, 1st button)
2) Choose 3rd tab: Guild.
3) Raise Member Count high enough to pull in Legion.
4) Possibly raise Level range, just to be safe.
5) Click on "Legion of the Broken Oar"
6) Hit "Apply for Membership" in the lower right hand corner of the box.

Technically speaking, that was me but yeah, it will work for any kind of server.

I started a bear shaman named Guar and got him to 13 last night. I'll try submitting a guild invite tonight.

There's certainly no shortage of PvP in white sands, unfortunately most of it seems to be level 15+ toons picking on lower levels. I almost took a few 1v1 but then someone would come along and kill both of us.

Unless you're running out of mana overhealing is the most worthless stat in the game. Underhealing is effectively known as "wiping".

It's my first time on a PvP server, but at the same time I'm a Canadian so I like following the rules.
If I'm the first one to attack, when am I just doing PvP and when am I being a jerk? Is there such a thing as PvP etiquette?

Depends on who is on the other end of your desire to kill, in my opinion.

Well the short answer is no.

The long answer though is in a FFA PvP game you really live and die by your and your guild reputation.

Some behaviors such as spawn/zone in camping is generally considered bad form and will get you a bad rep.

Some think attacking somebody while in the middle of a fight with a mob or another is bad form too.

Some will call you a jerk for said activities but this is the nature of a PvP server.

Me, I am against spawn camping but OK with jumping people mid fight.

Yeah, never attack anyone that isn't actively attacking you........unless they happen to look at you funny...or you don't like the way they look...or you don't like their name...guild...clothing.......

Other than that I'm a complete pacifist!

We do live and die by our rep. Tortage is a freakin war zone right now and my suggestion is do what you need to do to make it out alive.

Once out of tortage it calms a bit more. Allready the server is speaking out. For instance hordes of goonhiem are allready on more KOS lists then they care to be.

We NEVER want to greif, stay clear of fighting near spawn points unless you are guarding it for others.

Really? The whole time last night I played I got attacked once by some lvl 5 guy. After that, I wasn't attacked once until we started spreading the word on White Sands.

The Goonies are going to have a real problem on their hands before too long with their guild. I predict a big time falling out there as they've simply seemed to grow without constraint, meaning they've let nearly every a$$hat in that's asked to be in without regard for character.

Well, if you check the official forums, there are lots of threads against Goons. According to their boards, they have like 600 people! They already got the worst reputation possible at this point. I got ganked many times by their players last night. They travel in full groups and usually a lot higher level than you.
