AoC: should we be able to log in now? (EA)

By my shoddy math this is the hour when we should be able to log in. I'm at GMT-7 hours, and I thought the servers opened at 5:00 GMT. Am I off by an hour, or are the servers just not up on time?

I tried at 12 and no go plus their forums are down so it must be 1PM.

EDIT: just tried again 1212 so looks like nada!

If its any consolation there are thousands of AoC forum trolls gnashing their teeth, helplessly unable to trash Funcom for this minor setback.

Maybe...

I went through the entire Anarchy Online situation from day one. Funcom has a lot to prove to me.

I remember staying up most of the night waiting for Anarchy Online to launch. I eventually went to bed around 4 am. By the time I got up, it'd launched.

If you replace the word "launched" with "ran like crap and crashed every 10 minutes". Then I totally agree. I could make a strong argument that they didn't get that game "fixed" for 1-2 months after launch.

Luckily I am pst so if it is pushed back another couple hours I will still have plenty of time left in the evening to get in today. For people overseas, their Early Access was good for 6 days so even if they don't get to play on day one they'll still have a huge jump on their "regular" counterparts.

East coast players on the other hand might beg to differ, especially if it's delayed to the point that they miss the entire first day.

there's an ageofconan exe in the folder, which when launched, bypasses the patcher. I can get to the login page, hit "login" and ultimately it says "can't connect to auth server."

I suppose there could be another patch, pre-launch.

Patch notes just changed from "Down until 8GMT" to a big blurb "I bid you welcome to Hyboria!" etc.

Any second now?
