It's ok Cramps, if the server is going to be a huge gankfest, alot of us may switch to the pve/ rp.

I'm still confused by this. It's FFA pvp. While you wont be hunted down over/over again it will be inevitable that you will be attacked at inopportune times. Which would also be the exact same case on an RP-pvp server.

Either way we'll get to experience first hand in 2 days!

There you go, that, to me is a huge gank fest. If I can't get any questing done because of gankers everywhere, I dont know how long I will stay. I am ok with some, but, if it becomes an issue of not being able to do anything without two or three friends with me all the time, i might have to carebear stare.

I agree with you about the RP and am hoping that there are still some non-idiots out there (however, I am judging from the general chat and random people from Wow, hence the pessamism ). Like Ran said though, we will find out soon enough.

It's been my primary class all through beta. They'v been a bit of a balancing problem child for FC. They were notoriously overpowered in pvp from 5-20, but 20-80 were supposed to drop to last in power. They took care of the overpower problem at the lower levels but at 23 things seemed to take a dive, and i was worried that it would continue on in that fashion the rest of the way. After talking to a lvl 60 ranger i was told that things were much better than they used to be and they were actually a force to be dealt with again.

Being able to stun/snare opponents at range and of course moving around in stealth is huge. Ambushes are what they do best. Unlike the other 2 rogue classes they dont get a damage bonuse when attacking from stealth. When they fire their bow from stealth they're able to do a "mez"/stun attack. Any other damage done to them breaks their mez, but hit them wit a snare right after that they're normally trying to run away at this point because you're able to burn them down.

The biggest problem i see with them now is deciding whether to go xbow or regular bow. Right now i'm going bow because that seems to be more pvp focused, with AOE snares and fear attacks. The xbow though looks to be setup as a raid spec and woud be perfect for battlekeep sieges.

Here's what my initial build will be, but i'm horrible for constantly tweaking my spec and trying different things out.
