*Sigh ... Mondays*
Monday, May 12th, 2008 - 7:38am
I looked out the window to see what was going on. I saw a school bus going left and a beer truck going right. Problem is, I have to take a left. I'd rather go right ![]()

On the way to work, I got passed by the "Live Eel Mobile". *shudder*

It's raining here... Supposed to be 20 degrees below the normal high this time of year. It's my turn to drive Monday/Wednesday/Friday this week in the carpool. I'm down to a month to finish potentially 250 release notes for the coming quarterly release of our software product. I've already finished 300. I am hungry, and tired, and would much rather be home playing GTA. Although, I get to share my middle-class misery with all of you folks, so that makes it a little better.

Sounds like y'all have a case of the Mondays.

I believe you'd get your ass kicked sayin' something like that, man.
Computers don't make errors. What they do, they do on purpose. By now your name and particulars have been fed into every laptop, desktop, mainframe and supermarket scanner that collectively make up the global information conspiracy.

Same here, but I'm one of those weirdos who likes a rainy day so today's weather is doing a fine job of tempering Monday. Not so thrilled about the temperature! Currently it's 9C/48F. Bleah.

I had to take a different route to work today. I noticed in a strip mall there is a psychic and a donut shop and their signs are adjacent to each other. So it looked like the sign was "Psychic Donuts"

Even though I wore my mouth guard last night, I woke up with a very inflamed TMJ. I can't open my mouth wide enough to eat my cheerios and fresh strawberries. And my jaw pops when I chew. Wonderful!
Ouch, I have lost myself again

I despise Mondays. And mornings. A Monday morning is me at my grumpiest. Luckily my job is only for 4 months and I can take almost any day off I want.

You're only about 300 miles north of where I live, and about 250 miles north of where I work, so it doesn't surprise me we have similar conditions today.

My power was out so I missed my alarm. It came back on after my run.

My home on the web
I've had the same happen, although that was after a day I took 100 phone calls at work. My headset was broken and I held the phone with my jaw for the majority of the day. Hasn't returned since I quit though, which is good.
Also it's sunny, beautiful, and warm today here in Ottawa. I'm going to get some gas, visit some restaurants for Point-of-Sale solutions and work on getting the Digital Lifeline affairs in order. Might have time for a walk along the canal with my girlfriend too.

I finally got my bike fixed and was ready to ride into work this morning, but it was raining. Not a good way to start the work week.

Insanely chirpy new guy at the Starbucks drive thru really didn't go over well. He was using his best voice-over voice over the microphone, and then when I got to the window he was like the thing that wouldn't shut up. I'm sorry, but he's ruined it for everyone else. If anyone tries to tell me to "hAvE a nIcE dAy!, I'm going to got Elven Postal.

I woke up to a cat screaming, fur flying cat fight. It settled down and just as I rolled over to try for 10 more minutes, something warm and wet hits my arm. (We're going to have a talk tonight about how cats should not scare the piss out of each other, especially not on my bed.) Two of my three cats are having territory issues, so on the upside, I had already cat proofed the mattress by putting it inside a giant vinyl cover. I'll be happy about later when I don't have to deal with the clean up, beyond washing the bedding. Still, not my favorite way to wake up and it's only just begun.
No breakfast for me today, I was heading into the doctor's office for my favorite thing - blood work. Yeah, nothing like being phobic with needles and getting stuck after not being allowed to eat for 12 hours. At least the tech is nice and they let me crash in the recliner until the room stops spinning.
Woohoo! Monday...
