Fallen Empire: Legions (Spiritual Successor to Tribes) Open Beta

So Instant Action has started the open beta for their upcoming spiritual successor to tribes, did anyone other then me get in?
It's pretty barebones right now, 2 maps, 4 weapons, no armor classes, vehicles, or deployables but the flight physics and control feel good.

It kind of frustrated me that it's more of a closed beta-beta event for Fallen Empire. I've been a "beta" user for IA since the beginning, but have never been accepted into the beta event for Fall Empire. This sucks because Tribes1/2 is my favorite game.
Yea I guess it's a closed beta more then open, though there isn't really a NDA or anything secretive about it.

Ahh, I didn't get the invite for that Beta it seems. I hope that turns out to be good, playing Tribes 2 last Wednesday with some goodjers was a blast!

I played it a bit by myself and I have to say the graphics are tastey and smooth the flying action is great fun, the weapons are kinda limited, RL, GL, Chaingun, sniper rifle. But they seem fun.
Best of all Skiing is in the game and can even be augmented by flying horizonally... sweet!

I played a little of this earlier, just solo on an empty map to see how it looked and felt. I was pretty impressed, especially considering it's a browser game. Let's play!

I was in a bit before open beta but I was never able to catch a server with a good amount of people playing to have fun.
I gave the game a try again and I was really impressed too, Sheazy! For a browser game it looks good and it plays fast.
I'm not sure what to think about gameplay yet. The mechanics are a bit different from Tribes and I need to get used to the way this new jetpack works. I was having fun though. We should schedule a full goodjer session one of these days. I'm also KillTrash on IA if anyone wants to add me.
