Just tried the demo. I like the movies. I really want to like this demo, but the controls are killing it for me. Moving with your gun drawn seems slow. In hand to hand combat the time from button press to action seems really slow. I hope they are not done with this one. I can see what they are going for. It could be really fun.

Hey let's totally disconnect my gameplay by throwing in action button cut-scenes every 30 seconds. Whee what fun!

I liked the demo except for the blocking. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me, but any game that requires blocking to you to succeed I automatically can't play. I have no problem stringing combos, but the block button never seems to register with me, I suck wholeheartedly at it. I died seven times in that demo and each time it was because I failed to block every single time. It's so frustrating but I have no idea how to improve it.

Just hold the block button down and he automatically blocks every attack thats sent his way.

That's not true because that's exactly how I died the first three times. I just suck at it, I guess.

It seems like countering a takedown attempt does no damage.

Sorry, but they are. The release is in June and I was "luckY" enough to focus test the game for High Moon Studios 2-3 months ago.

It was almost exactly like the demo they released today.

Our group complained about the QTEs being in EVERY EFFING GAME released since GoW/RE4 were hits. We complained about their sudden appearance (so they added an "Audio Cue") and how one feels like a massive failure when he takes more than two seconds to hit a button. We complained about the stiff, boring combat (they made enemies HURT YOU MORE instead of fabricating a combat system that was fun). We complained about "Bourne Instinct" being absolutely no use whatsoever (they made it take adrenaline out of your gauge on harder difficulty levels!). We complained that the combat model was horribly frustrating when you were in a fight and had enemies shooting at you (no change). We complained that the driving level was short, boring, that using reverse was pretty terrible since you couldn't see where you were going and that the police had horrible AI (they made the car go faster). We complained that enemy takedowns were a one-way street, where the enemy could hurt you, but you gained relatively no health/absolutely no adrenaline on a successful counter.

Seriously, this combat model is one of the worst i've ever seen. It's basically "Punch Punch Punch, block, punch punch punch". "Combos" my ass. Oh, lets add in kicks, but make you charge up for them. Brilliant! I move as slowly as a turtle and my charged kicks leave me completely open for attack!

I'm really disappointed with this. The Bourne Takedowns are really great, really impactful and very cinematic. The rest of the game is an unpolished turd of terrible mechanics and repetitive gameplay.

My friend mentioned that High Moon scrapped more than 2 years worth of work on this because they switched gears from Stealth Thriller to Action-Adventure. They obviously didn't spend enough time making a game that was fun, and probably just wanted it done so they could move on.

"Personally I'm looking forward to buying a PC with a 128 core processor integrated with 32tb of memory in about 10 years time. Shortly there after Will Wright's Spore 3 will become self aware and annihilate humanity in a nuclear holocaust."

Maybe this is all why MATT DAMON didn't want to be associated with it.

Just got it from PSN. I couldn't even finish the demo, after the 50th loading screen I just gave up. At least now I'm certain I don't want to play the game, so I guess the demo was good for something.

Seriously, if the demo provided me with enough instances where I was unhappy it did it job for me at least. I should write a nice letter to Xbox Live.
