Bravo for initiative!

I'd recommend setting a specific night of the week for GWJ GTA. In the official GTA thread, ask what night works best for the most amount of people, then change your post to reflect the date and time.

When a new game is out, people are on every night and gatherings come cheap and easy. As time goes on the herd thins, impromptu gatherings get fewer and fewer. If you don't set a specific night then you get the "too many chiefs" effect, all that energy and desire to play dissipates.

If we get a set date and time for this, I volunteer to post Steam events.

The week is pretty packed, though... There's a lot of stuff that goes on. Wednesday seems like the night that is most free. That might mean that it's the least ideal for folks, though. My weeknights are usually free, but I do like to hit TF2 just about every night of the week, so I may have to sacrifice that a bit. Mondays and Fridays are the big TF2 nights, and Tuesdays are Halo 3. We were trying to get some Warhawk setup on Wednesdays, but it hasn't taken off (no pun intended). Thursdays look pretty clear too. Pick a day and lets get this going!

Wednesdays work best for me, followed by Mondays and Fridays. Feel free to add me.

Wed. is nothing special for the big WoW guild, btw; Sunday is the one day I'd say our WoWers really can't make.

I've been friend requesting everyone who friended this clan thing because it wouldn't let me send invites to friends of friends. Am I missing something? Do I actually need to friend request half a billion people or am I retarded? Not that I don't like having more people on the ol' list.

Also, I have yet to get into a real game with the GWJees. There was some co-op missions and there was a time when I was playing team deathmatch with someone against a bunch of random internet jerks, but nothing substantial like 16-player free mode. What, nobody else plays at 3 in the morning in their underwear while drinking flat root beer while the stench of their unwashed bodies fill the room?

You should be able to just highlight their name on the friends of friends and press X to invite to game. Are you in a party mode... I haven't tried initiating any multiplayer games so I'm not sure how that works.

I'm not sure if you can look a friends of a friend's friend... We might just have to set up GWJ GTA IV Clan II

We had a real blast last night.

Zedian took a rocket launcher and killed all the cops one/two at a time and then did a nice little victory dance, which was awesome.

Later in the evening I was doing some totally kick-ass things but unfortunately I was alone at the time (often running distraction) so none of my teammates were around to see how awesome I was doing. And believe it or not, the awesome things I did involved my driving (and were TOTALLY intentional!) even though I always sucked at driving with passengers in the car. You guys must've been throwing off my balance. Once I was running from the cops alone and I hit something and got spun around but by the time my car had settled I was already hitting full reverse and ran a few blocks BACKWARDS and on the sidewalk, then I spun around again and started going forward without stopping. Then the cops chased me into a traffic accident and my car caught fire, and the cops tried to ram me but I got out in time and used the other cars as cover until I got my own. At that point the cop car was on fire and they tried to ram me with it but I shoved my way through the other cars and got out of the way just in time to speed off, leaving the cops mired in a big pile of smoking and burning cars. They eventually caught up with me and killed me as I tried to get to the coastline for my buddies to pick me up.

Also, what the hell was up with the traffic? We kept seeing CLUMPS of cars just falling from the sky and landing in a heap in the middle of the road!

Still, my very favorite part was when we were taking a "shortcut" by jumping off a bridge and Trainwreck landed right on the hood of a moving car.

I'm down for Tuesday-Thursday nights. I agree with posting a steam event for these.

I kinda suck at multi cause I am so used to a mouse + keyboard so don't count on me kicking ass.

Have we established a day of the week that this works for everyone yet? I'd like to toss up the Steam event soon...

That's fine, because even when I sit with my eyeballs right against my standard definition 27" TV I still can't make out jack on the minimap.

Lobster, what did you do to solve your server issues?

Every single invite Ive gotten tonight has ended in the bullsh*t "unable to connect, going back to single player" error. I *KNOW* I had it working at least one night, since I was online with Swat and some others. Yet once again, every single invite is failing. My router is supposedly compatible with the 360, according to the website... a few times I could hear people talking before getting booted out, but that's as close as I've been able to get tonight.

GAH.

When I got invites, I kept getting the same thing. Then finally, one invite worked... I was informed that my issues connecting to the previous game were ones where Lobster was hosting. Then Lobster hosted a new game, and everyone left me.
