AoC: fatalities

These things are some serious sexiness! Share your favorites! Bonus points if you post up a video!
Fatalities happen randomly when you use a combo to get the last blow in. What type they you get is based off the combo used/class/weapon used. So there's a bunch out there.
Barbarian: 2-hand Sword: Impales the chest with the sword and while the sword is still in the body he leans in and laughs/taunts in the victims face.
Barbarian: 2-hand Hammer: Comes up with a undercut that nails the victim in the crotch and when they bend over a finishing over hand to the back of the head.
Ranger: 1-handed blount: a blow to the knees knocks the victim down and 2-3 hits to the back of the head when they're bent over.

Also as in my video, that I can't link because I am on my crackberry. You do the swirling decap as a barb with 2h sword.
Assain will back fist stab to the throat and then slice it out.
You got the same decap as the HoX on the vid as well.

I could never remember how to do it. I would just spin the controller clockwise and jam on the button! I was pumped whenever I'd pull in off. In fact, I think that was 90% of my strategy: keep spinning until I chop his head off.

Fav combo from that game, was: headbut, quick up/forward sword chop (would do a quick downward slashing chop on the head), followed by the 360 spin head chopping move. At higher levels, you had to time the head chop well and pull it off as they were getting up off the ground. Otherwise they'd block it.

no worries on the derailment with it being Conan related.
There's a similar one in AoC as this for the ranger using a 1h sword as well, but i only did it once by acccident and didn't catch the full movement. Rangers obviously don't do much melee. Their bow fatalities are a bit tame compared to the melee ones. I've seen one that just peppers the guy with arrows and he falls over. Another where he's hit in the chest and he grabs it and falls backwards. One other with a crossbow where the target is hit in the head with a bolt and he falls over.

My Dark Templar impaled a few picts with his oar, which is what i have seen thus far.
In AoC when this happens, there is also blood splatter on your screen, well virtual anyway. If there is real blood splatter on your screen well...that may be frightening.
I chopped off a head with my assassin tonight. Was sweet.
I got a duel slash to the neck move a lot tonight on my Assassin.

My Conqueror performed the gut stab that brought the foe to his knees and then pounded him on the back of the head a few times.
My Assassin did a nasty 2 second throat stab.
Being fangoriously devoured by a gelatinous monster.
My Conqueror did like a gut stab and then pushed the guy down and laughed at him. All that was left was to tea bag the poor sod.

Herald of Xolti: Dagger:Decapitation. Happened when Slam was the finishing move.
Herald of Xolti: Dagger:Initial under the collar bone with the dagger then moving towards the shoulder in a vicious ripping motion. Happened with Slam finisher. Then again I was doing a lot of Slam one shots from level 2-4.
Herald of Xolti: Hellfire Breath:Mob writhes around in agony. Maybe there is supposed to be another animation. As it is I don't see a lot of spell effects.

Dark Templar: Sword & Board:Backhanded decapitation.
Dark Templar: Sword & Board:Stab victim in the chest. Turn the sword in the victim's chest then knock them over with the shield.
Dark Templar: Sword & Board:I had some weird one where the mob would disappear/disintegrate.
Dark Templar: Sword & Board:Pull victim's head in with the shield hand and brace the body with knee. Stab then push the body off.
Demonologist: Fire spells:Mob writhes around in agony.

This game needs some kind of ‘fatality cam’ toggle where it’ll like zoom in and swoop around the kill. I got several cool pitchfork death blows last night (I got blood on the screen) but I didn’t get much of a look at what happened.

I picked up an axe as a quest reward. I was piddling along killing people then discovered this incredible combo move that ended with me burying my axe in some poor bastards crotch!
yup, fatalities are sweet, i was on the end of one as a barbarian sliced my head off!!! I had lots of shield cutting throats and stabbing with my sword fatalities though. They are sweet. I play as a ranger.
what are you doing using sword/shield then?
You do more DPS if keep using your bow.
