Seriously, this is long overdue. You know it. I know it. The guy I keep in a jar under my crawlspace knows it. There's a lot of people in the area and it's time we organized yet another slap & tickle.

I'm calling you guys out! Let's get some chatter going about when and where this is going to be. Because right now, I have no idea.

Some people I will now attempt to shame into posting here:

My parents live in Raleigh and I haven't been down there to see them in a little over a year and I could probably take a long weekend at some point and fly down, possibly arranging this to match up with a potential S&T.

It's wide open right now. I say that if ColdForged doesn't post soon, we plan to hold it at his house.

We're all lucky when you remember to put on pants in the morning. You should do it more often.

That sounds suspiciously like a plan. Let's do that.

You're shameless, Kurrelgyre.

Oh, crap. I just posted.

I mean sure! Let's all go to Food Lion and buy the cheapest beer on hand. We can go out to the parking lot and drink it until we're all good and plastered! Then we can go to Wal-mart where we can monopolize their console demo systems (too bad, kids... we were playing when you weren't even a twinkle in your daddy's eye!), watch shows on their TVs, deface the yellow smileys to show the evil within, and generally have a good time until we're thrown out or arrested.

Or a movie/dinner would be good. You know. Whatever folks want to do.

I'm interested. I would prefer a laid-back bbq style of get-together, but I'm open to other options (Frankie's?).

Quintin and I can do any of the following:

Frankie's would be fun. And games. =)

Their restaurant actually looks pretty good too, haven't eaten there yet, though.

Sonuvabitch. Weekends are generally open for me, but I would have to know a couple of weeks in advance because of family and / or lady friend obligations.

As to what and where, hmmmm.....We did Frankie's last time, but that was 2 years ago and only 5 of us showed, right? We could do that again or we could all just show up at Coldforged's pad unannounced and perform some sort of Resident Evil skit, complete with organ meats and scare the hell out of him in the middle of the night.

That's all I got.

As long as this is followed by grilling of said organ meats, it could be interesting. I'll second the idea of a laid back bbq style get together. There are a lot of nice picnic friendly areas around here that we could explore.

The only weekend I absolutely cannot participate is the weekend of May 31-June 1, as my baby sister is graduating from High School.

I'm guessing most of us have an extra day off May 26 for Memorial Day, even if that is a Monday...

Ideally, it'd be nice to have a laid back and quiet environment for chatting and eating first, then some kind of group activity(ies). One of the biggest issues, IMO, with the PAX S&T was the noise of the bar. I much prefer being able to talk without yelling. And trust me, in person GWJers are a chatty bunch.

Frankie's has arcades, go-kart racing, laser tag, pin bowling. Maybe a bit too noisy (and possibly crowded) for the first part of the meet up if we get a large group of Goodjers, I think. If someone's willing to host and they have a nice big projection TV and a console with Rock Band, I can't say I'd be opposed to that either.

My place is way too small to host anything or I would be happy to do it. I am down for a bbq type event though, hell I will supply some al-key-hol and some chicken breasts and wings in the process.

I second the Rock Band jam fest as well. ROCK ON!

I've got a good sized back yard with a patio, deck, and a grill. If you want a perfect time: Kaycee and the kids will be gone the first three weekends in June. Any of the other weekends would work with notice, though.

Rock Band would be a snap as several of my friends have the consoles/games that I can wheedle off of them (plus, I'm sure at least a few are attending).

I vote for cookout at Lou's 2nd or 3rd weekend of June!

This sounds like a blast. I'd prefer a grilling/picnic-type adventure over Frankie's, because it is extremely loud over there. There are probably a dozen places we can grill if Lou would prefer us not to raid his house.

But if I get a vote, I'd say 1st or 2nd weekend of June... I'll be out of state on the third weekend, and I really don't want to miss out on the fun! (I'm being selfish!)

I'll be out of the state on June 1st, but any June weekend after that works for me. If needed and someone can help with transportation, I have a gas grill I'm willing to share. For some reason it doesn't fit well in the convertible...

So 2nd weekend of June at Lou's?

So long as this is the 14th/15th, that works for us.

I'm moving at the end of May or the beginning of June. I'm giving myself plenty of time for it though, so assuming I'm successful at supressing my procrastination instincts, I should be able to make it any weekend.

Hey I'm in real close, so I would definitely be up for a meet and greet. Anything on the weekends would probably work for me.

That'd be it as far as what I meant by the "first 3 weekends". (I didn't mean the one that includes Sunday, June 1.)
