Those of you who follow the BigRedKitty hunter blog may already be aware of this, but he's been planning a fun event called "Running of Da Bulls" for a week from Saturday. From the page describing the event:

BRK wrote:

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008! 7pm EDT (11pm GMT) on Cenarian Circle server. Not server time, look closely. 7pm Eastern Daylight Time. Make adjustments for your time zone as required.

Same basic rules as before:

* Make a level 1 Tauren, any class, either gender
* No XP, only the clothes on your back
* The route shall be developed in conjunction with Ratshag, our Horde Expert
* First one to the finish line gets UNLIMITED POWER!
* Sound like fun? Let us tell ya, it really is. We’ll see you there, won’t we?

(The route is spelled out in detail on the page linked above.)

This is the sort of thing that makes WoW such a cool game to play, so I'd guess a lot of folks might want to join in for the sheer spectacle of it. However, this morning BRK posted the sad news that a member of his guild has just passed away, and he'd like to have the event also serve as a bit of a memorial for his lost friend. Apparently she loved cows and took great joy from yelling "Moo" as a greeting so it would be hard to imagine a more fitting tribute than the event that BRK was already planning.

So if you are going to be playing WoW a week from Saturday, why not jump over to Cenarion Circle for a couple hours? I certainly plan to join the herd and yell "Moo" as loud as I can.

Reminds me of the naked runs from Kelethin to Qeynos and the like back in my Everquest days. Fun stuff! I might be able to jump in myself.

Stryker, Grenn and I participated in a Troll Death Race three years ago on Magtheridon. It was a lot of fun. It started with lvl 1 naked trolls at the main entrance to Orgrimarr. You had to stay on the roads and run to the finish line of the raceway in Thousand Needles. My favorite part was when instead of waiting for the Great Lift I jumped directly into the graveyard and immediately rez'd.

Here are some pics (If you look at the chat in the last image you can see me (Urpaldeath) quoting a movie. Anyone other than Grenn (SpaceDeath) know the movie? It's probably pretty easy):

Cenarion isn't a PVP server is it? If so, then a memorial might be a bad idea.

Cenarion Circle is an RP - PvE realm, so while you may get people complaining about how the stampede is ruining their precious sense of immersion, you shouldn't have any ganker trouble.

I did BRK's Gnaked Gnome Race a couple months ago, and I have to admit I was giddy at the number of people and the spectacle.

I probably won't make this one, but good luck to any who do!

Would be a good idea. I plan to have Logan sit in for me when I am on my honeymoon.
