CP-N Vs GWJ's .

Coffee Grinder

Ok so i was thinking .... we had a GREAT game with the host's .. there was some pretty epic moment's .

Now let's have some more games We " CP- Shady Ninjas" want to duke it out with GWJ's !!
We are not an ALL-STAR team ,if you will . But we tend to do good , inside the CP community , and i think its time to go for team's out side our lil haven
So i suggest you guys stack up if you dont already have teams organized .

I will be checking your forums regularly to check if anyone steps up .At witch time we will set up time and date .

P.S. I know i posted about this before , but i was told by Certis and Wes to wait for the Pod. Vs Pod. game to be over before scheduling any other games .

We don't have any teams but we can find some people to step up to the plate. There were several of us who wanted in on the pod vs pod action but didn't get in. I would suggest a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday night. But regardless of the night, I'm IN.

Getting killed, though? In a way that you don't like? Suck it up, Gertrude.

I'm in if it's TF2, if not then it depends if I got the game or not.

I'd love to play, but since I played in the host match I would gladly step aside to let someone who didn't play the first match get in.

Cool so ill keep those dates in consideration .. go ahead and start getting your team together ... i will post here soon with an official date . 10 vs 10 ... sounds good ? with 2 per class restrictions .

P.S. should be around next week or this week end .

Happy ?

Dear lord man stop with the exclamation points, let me introduce you to my friend the period.

Why limit to 10vs10 and why have a 2 per class restriction? Arbitrary rules that were not in mind when the game was developed server no purpose.

No, that sounds bad.

No offense, but so far you're not exactly making me want to get out there and mix it up with CP-N.

I never see anyone on Stan's, whereas CP's servers always have a game going.

Ok i'm sry if my post's were not clear . Unfortunately i rarely have a chance to express my self in written English , since i mainly use French . I guess ppl on the CP forums just got use to it .

The limits i was talking about earlier were just a suggestion . We in CP, pretty mutch always run our games with class limitations . I think it gives place for better tactics and it prevents from having class abuse on certain maps .

We dont mind not having any limits on players ... but i will have to run the class limit thing by my squad to make sure they are cool with it .

Sure, I'm up for it. I think we should have a team leader, to sort out the GWJ team. I nominate Jakeleg, if he is around; failing that, Wired.

We're not in the habit of class spamming unless done as a joke.

We do however have a bunch of us that swap out to different classes at different points and it's not unusual to see 3 soldiers or 3 demos working together. The 2 class limit really restricts the way we play.

Edit: I think i posted in Cursors first thread that i was interested in playing them, but sign me up as well

Hmm well this class limit thing is the lame, we just want to get togther and have a fun time. We of course will not do anything lame like Pyro rush or Soldier rush, but limiting classes does make more strategy it limits it.

As far as this I will be happy to play, but I also want to stand with Gumbie and allow people that have not been able to play in so everyone can enjoy the fun. Maybe give way to a completely new team to defend Goojerdom?

How is Soldier rushing lame? Or Pyro rushing, for that matter? 'Bout the only single-class push that I can think of that might be considered 'lame' is full-on demo, but even that's a) only on specific points of specific maps, and b) really imbalanced for the all-demo team.

I'd be down. That being said, I recuse myself for the benefit of people who didn't play in the first CP match. I'm just a middle of the road Stan's player most of the time. I have moments of absolute glory (I got 250 points as a heavy on a pub last night on CP_well) but normally I just get stuck in the pack and get too competitive about points.

Those who played in the podcast match should probably be alternates unless we don't get enough regulars to fill the team. Class limits are annoying but they are doable. If there has to be a limit I think it should be 3 rather than 2.

I always prefer to play a medic, and I can see the sense in this. I've been on teams with like 5 Engineers, 2 scouts, 2 snipers, and no heavys or pyros, and it SUCKS. The game is made so that all the classes work together and serve a purpose, and playing this way against a more balanced team leads only to heartache and pownage. But we're talking about extremes here, and every game I've played on Stan's has been balanced in the long run.

But all that shows is the team with the 5 Engineers, 2 scouts and 2 snipers lacks any teamwork. And when you are playing a match like this, its a test of teamwork. If a team wants to gimp themselves with such a class roster, then by all means let them. But its pretty clear who the better team is at that point. The reason for having 9 classes in the game is to give people the ability to change roles to better suit the current game situation. If a team goes all engineers, a couple heavy medic pairs will rip right through them. A team of all spies? Have a couple people go pyros. Every class has a counter class. Give me any lopsided team make up and I will give you a counter that can be pulled off with just a handfull of people.
