WoW: BHA Guild Bank
Hello GWJ A!
I'd just like to take a moment to thank all the people that have helped maintain the guild bank's organization but I'd also like to thank the many donors we have who keep putting money in towards the sixth and final slot. I know Leap and Heeroprince are always donating small amounts of gold. But that small amount has added up significantly. We're less than 2000 gold to the final tab and I'd like to get that final tab taken care of.
So, this is a request for donations. I know there's tons of gear out there that needs buying but there's also tons of ways to get money now. If twenty people donated 10 gold (1 SSO daily) for the next 10 days we'd have it bought in less than two weeks! And lord knows we have a bajillion level 70's!
And who knows... maybe the top donors will have a tab named after them or something. ![]()

I just donated a little over 100 gp the other day, when I log in tonight, will donate another 1-200. I also put The Essence Focuser in the rare slot for any up and coming healer that may need it. It dropped in Kara Saturday night.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Good call Reap. With the amount of active players using the Bank (not only 70's), we should be able to make a final surge and get that last slot.
The key to victory is to not suck as bad as the other side.
I will put a concerted effort into putting 10g per day in there.
All for one, one for all!

10g a day is more than manageable. I'll strive to hit that and exceed it as often as I can!
I can give 10g about week.

I'll toss in 200g so I don't have to worry about doing it daily.
And feel free to sell of all the Arcane Dust in there as it's probably taking up space.

We now have 5kgp in the guild bank!!!

We hit 5,000g! Very nice guys!
It is good to see you guys all working together for a common cause. What rules do you have for guildies and the GB?
If you need it ask for it. Officers will be smart about handing out high-end items and mats in the restricted tabs so don't be too greedy but we would rather see it used than just sit there. Perhaps I will be corrected but I don't think we have much in the way of formal rules for the guild bank. There are also some general access tabs that all Members have access to.
Now that we have no more money to spend on the guild bank, what do we do with all the money now? How about starting a raid tab with pots, food, flasks, insoles, etc. With 100 gold, I could start my own alchemy lab and bottling plant and stock the bank with tons of elixers.
I've been thinking about that too, Cope. Other things I've considered would be like a raffle sort of deal. People pay in gold and then the bank purchases items based on the amount of "tickets." We form a raid on the raffle night, do a /roll and viola.
I think this could be a lot of fun based on the amount new patterns, BOE mats (primal nethers/nether vortices), and world boss BOE equipment that drops now.
Just random thoughts.

I say give the money to me.
My lvl 46 has Enchanting and Tailoring. I can barely afford my spell upgrades every two levels.

Yeah, taking two crafting professions is rough. If you want to make money you want to have at least one gathering profession. And if you really want to make money, you want two.

I took enchanting and herbalism with my priest alt, and with selling enchanting mats from de'ing stuff and all the herbs, I had all the gold I needed by level 19 for my level 40 mount.

i levelled an alt to 10 just to get enchanting up to 125, and sent tons of greens to him to DE. That little fella has amassed over 400g worth of mats, but the amount of gear that i get that he cannot DE has made me take up enchanting on my main. Just being able to DE the soulbound quest rewards is worth having it [/i]IMHO. Plus, being able to make your weapons glow is cool.

Perhaps a fund for repairs?
Either way, I still have 100g to put in for whatever is decided. Never got to the bank to put it in yesterday before the tab was reached
I have a cute squeak
Same here. About 5 min after logging in last night I saw that the tab had already been paid for. I'll throw some gold in tonight.

No kidding, I didn't either!
I've contributed periodically to the bank in gold, not realizing we even had another tab yet to buy but just figuring it would be able to be put to good use helping cover repairs and supplies that are useful for guild runs (be they regular, heroic, or raid runs, it's irrelevant to me). I throw stuff in occasionally, but am never sure what's really that useful. I could throw a good supply of fel and adamantite weightstones in from time to time, does anyone use those? Whenever I have the earth motes to spare I also craft fel sharpening stones (I think Jut burns through them faster than I can supply her though
).
What can a blacksmith make that's particularly useful to supply the guild bank with? I don't want to clutter it, I want to put in stuff that'll get used.
Glad to have been a help
We needed more space.
As far as professions, when I started out as Sunseeker, I knew next to nothing about the game. Designing him to be a protective paladin, guardian to his lady, I figured the "role" lent itself to mining and blacksmithing. So I gathered mats and then leveled up BS/Armorsmithing as I went. Ah, what foolishness so seemingly obvious the blacksmithing choice was.
When I started Aes, I went with the skinning/mining route, had 400g by level 30, just from doing the natural skinning and mining running around questing. At 60, though, money making came to a halt as I was almost always focused on running 5-mans, then at 70 I switched to Tailoring and Enchanting.
Now, if I want to make gold, the dailies are the way to go.

Yeah, thanks a bunch for those Thur, I was also hitting up Salire for them! I have slowed way down on my use of them now. I had to use them constantly just to get through Hellfire Penninsula, and went through a crap-ton of health pots and buff elixirs too. But, now I'm over leveled for the areas I'm working (halfway to 69 and haven't even started Nagrand quests yet) so, I don't need them so much. I'm sure any other chop-chop/slice-and-dicer working their way through Hellfire Penn would love them though.
I have found the same on my 60-61 warrior with Hellfire Jut, seems a lot harder than I remember on my shaman or my warlock. Haven't quite put my finger on why.
Locks are invincible and overpowered. Shaman can heal in combat. I've now leveled two shaman through those first few outland levels, and at the same time I have a rogue stalled out @ 61 on HFP. Self heals are a HUGE difference out there, especially when you consider the difficulty jump between level 58-60 mobs in Azeroth vs those in Outland on HFP.
