The Team Fremont Victory Is Complete, Steve Perry ROCKS!
Monday, April 14th, 2008 - 9:54am
It wasn't really a win until I actually heard Steve Perry open the show. After all the sweat and tears, our victory over Team Fremont has lead to some of the funniest, angriest podcasting I've encountered in some time. Time well spent, gentlemen. You can look back on the original thread here.
Anyone who wants to listen to the show, check it out here. Lots and lots of salty language though, so no kids allowed!
Yeah, it's scary. I'm staring into the abyss right now, and it's staring into me, which I think is kind of a dick move on the abyss's part. - Nyles

It's like listening to the salty tears of a beaten foe hit the cold, uncaring granite floor...
Huzzah! Congrats to you people who beat them

Wow, that intro is priceless. And I don't mean the song, though thats great too.

Ok, I'm only 6 minutes in and this is already beautiful.
I started trying to keep track of how many f-bombs were dropped and lost track somewhere around where they promised to mail GWJ a box of their own feces.

Awesome. It was totally worth it for the first few minutes. Whoever told them that they had to play Journey if they lost is a frikin' genius!
"To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women"
The first 2 minutes of that podcast is just amazing.

As a child of the eighties, and having graduated HS in '84, I am somewhat ashamed to admit...I like Journey, in a nostalgic, I-wouldn't-actually-listen-to-them-on-purpose, kind of way.
That is to say, in the fairly rare circumstance that I actually hear a Journey tune, I hum along. I can't help it.
There, I said it.
Oh hell. This from the guy with a Jethro Tull album cover for an avatar.
On Topic: Way to go guys, the podcast is pretty f*ckin' funny.
"I have not supped of Buffy, nor have I supped in any wise during the absence of Firefly. When Firefly returns again in glory, then shall I sup at the table of Whedon." - Fedaykin98
I have Journey's Greatest Hits. And I bothered to import it into my Zune.
And I found myself wishing they'd stop talking so I could hear the songs.
But that was awesome. I'm not done with the podcast yet, but I'm going to listen to the whole thing.
Pure greatness.
"And my son, too, thinks everything is a launchpad, every bug a meal, and every sunny day a reason to take all your clothes off and roll around in the grass." - rabbit
It was truly the most awesome 10 minutes I've had in ages. I thank my GWJ brethren for holding the flame of righteousness high!

Steve Perry blows, however they have another listener now. Pyrrhic victory to be sure.
That is all.

Now I'm no math genius, but it seems to me that barring being held back a number of times, you probably spent most of your childhood in the '70s.
I'm sorry.
