I bought Panic at the Disco's "Pretty. Odd." off of Itunes last week and it hasn't left my CD player since. It's an incredible album. They changed their sound entirely and I can't get enough of it. The last time an album got this much time in my CD player was last year when As Cities Burn's "Come Now Sleep" came out.

This got me wondering. You all (well, most of you ) seem to have good taste, what album are you constantly coming back to? What music would you recommend I pick up?

I just got Arcade Fire's latest, Neon Bible, and have been listening to it non-stop. Editors' release from this summer, An End Has A Start, gets a lot of play too.

I've been meaning to check out Arcade Fire's stuff for a while now, I'll give it a listen.

Another one I've been enjoying is Thrice's "Alchemy Index". It's an awesome album.

Edit: Posted before getting to listen to Hot Chip

It's interesting. A little much for me (I'm the bass blaring type), but some of there more quit stuff is pretty good.

I picked up the new In Flames album on iTunes this week, A Sense of Purpose. Pretty good, though if you're one of those ones who thinks In Flames has "sold out" you probably will still be unhappy with this one.

I'm really liking Arcade Fire. It's got this folk charm to it.

I used to listen to a lot of Hardcore music. Not bad. Reminds me a little of Norma Jean.

If you like them you'd probably like A Plea for Purging, I saw them live twice, they can freaking shred. You can find their stuff on myspace.

Also, I have been listening to Clutch's Blast Tyrant. Not a new album by any means but it is pure awesome and great to run to.

I have no idea what anyone is saying, but it's very catchy. Seems like a pretty smooth stuff to play AudioSurf with.

Awesome.

This is interesting. I like a lot of this stuff. Keep it coming.

Just to throw a weird band out their: mewithoutYou's "Brother, Sister". Their Vocalist/lyricist is a genius. The music is catchy and beside that they put on an incredible show.

I used to listen to Norma Jean, but I'm not into that sort of metalcore stuff as much these days. Cursed plays so hard; definitely one of my favorite bands in the last few years.

I guess I went the opposite direction, I used to love hardcore/metal stuff and I slowly fell in love with Indie stuff.

I kind of thought I would grow out of it at some point, but it just isn't happening. I keep drifting toward more extreme stuff. Although I do love softer stuff, too -- mewithoutYou's Brother, Sister is awesome. I've listened to that album so many times.

It's rare to find someone how has heard of them that actually likes them. I got the album 2 weeks early and I promise it was the main album I listened to for a year. Amazing stuff.

I will admit, I still like hardcore stuff, but I just don't search for new stuff that often anymore.

I'm in a productive groove at work: that usually means I have an electronic lounge / post rock / etc album on the headphones, preferably one without lyrics or at least without lyrics I can translate. Currently it's Sigur Ross: Takk.

I'm suddenly feeling the need to play it... Hopefully it'll help me get through what is going to be a long afternoon.

Have you heard either of their previous albums? They're good, more straightforward, but I don't think they can stack up against Brother, Sister.

Just got Muse's HAARP cd/dvd combo album from Amazon yesterday so that is currently playing in the background as I work. But usually I have Pandora up in the background playing my NIN/Manson/Audioslave/System of a Down channel so not really any particular album per se.

I'm a big fan of Thrice and was hesitant to check this album out as it was touted as being a huge departure for them. I'm glad I did though. I think it's quite good. As long as I pretend it's someone else, it's fine. On a side note, the second part (Alchemy Index 3 & 4) comes out next week I believe.

What is the album thing that you play from start to finish? I'm pretty much always on shuffle.

The last album I purchased was Bonepony - Jubilee. Not as good as Stomp Revival, but worth the bucks.

last.fm just introduced me to Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, who are in strong contention for next purchase.

Southern Culture on the Skids I never tire of.

Guess I'm on some weird "retro kick" right now.

The last album i bought was 'The Hoosiers: The Trick to Life'. It's a strange album in that it mixes two different styles - the popular (pop) style that has been shown in all their released tracks and a Beatles-esque style that is really good.

While i like all the songs bar one on the album, the released chart songs are nowhere near the best.
