I saw this earlier today, but a was a little hesitant to post it. I've signed it, but don't expect him to honor his word if/when it does hit a million signatures.

What a douche. I signed, but the bastard won't stop until he's dead. I've heard it doesn't matter how poorly the film will gross at the box office, the production company will still get reimbursed the full production cost by the German government (a law meant to stimulate the German film industry). If it weren't for that law, the bastard would've faded already...

I laughed my ass off. The thing is heaping with fake seriousness. He's teasing the Internet 'tards, and he's making himself a bigger and more visible name by playing into the Uwe Boll hate instead of getting butt-hurt and trying to downplay or hide from it. It was a troll indeed, and one so audacious that I would normally not imagine anyone being able to take it seriously, except I've been on the Internet.

jmdanny's Wired link is great. A guy that's that off the hinges would not be able to operate in professional life. It's an act. You'll note that Boll's antics have gradually grown to this level, very calculated. Funny how the actors don't tend to have stories about Uwe being an intolerable dick, often much the opposite.

Mine was signature 159,178. Not that I expect it to do any good.

He's got an easy out though. I noticed they validate your signature by storing your e-mail address. Through my domain I could conceivably create as many e-mails as I want! I don't even need to make the account as all bad e-mail goes into an alias rather than getting kicked back.

I signed, and my friends Turd Furguson and Assface McGee, each with startlingly similar email addresses, shall voice their opinions as well.

I don't know why but when he said this I loled so hard.

Uwe Boll says people are posting on that petition using multiple identities. He says Spielberg and Bay are doing it, because they're afraid of competition.

He caps it off with, "What jealous internet nerds and wannabe filmmakers are signing that petition?".

If there's anyone left who thinks the Uwe Boll persona isn't a big joke yanking on nerds' chains, I've got quite a bridge for sale.

I laugh my a$$ off everytime I see this guy talk. His films are horrible, vomitous trash, but it's pricelss trash--it sets the bar to new lows. I can't in good conscience sign the petition--the world needs its Uwe Bolls too.

Hm, I have never seen one of his movies. Any recommendations of what to netflix if I want to see just how bad it is?

I will never forgive Uwe Boll for conning me into paying theatre prices to see House of the Dead. He actually incorporated the video game footage in his cutaways and random shots.

To this day, my friend and I still recount the time when we first saw this happen in the movie.

After the first video game clip appeared, we sat there dumbfounded. I leaned over to my buddy and whispered in an awestruck tone: "They did not just throw a clip from the game into the movie, did they?".

When it happened a second time, we just sat there and realized that we were watching something extremely "special". My favourite line from the whole movie:

"Hey guys, look! I just found this book. It looks really old so it has to be helpful!".

There is no movie that touches the pure brilliance of House of the Dead. It's that special kind of bad. He's just lame now, but House of the Dead is a must see.

BTW, I signed the the "keep on making movies petition" just to be a jerk. I'm number 2019 on that one.
