What do those crescent moon & tree car decals mean?

So, I'm driving into work today and I see like 5 cars with crescent moon & tree decals on their back windows. Out of curiousity I'm trying to figure out the meaning of that symbology but I keep finding a lot of crazy material that doesn't add up.
Anyone know what it actually stands for? I was thinking it may be related to Wicca or some other religion.

I imagine there's a fair number of Ohioans (?) that vacation in SC. Maybe it's just a memento. I have a KW sticker for Key West on my car and a Conch Republic keychain. It means nothing more than I love to go to Key West whenever possible.

It's for their own good. They're barely civilized down there. Driving home from Florida last Saturday, we could barely go 5 minutes between inexplicable congestion on the SC stretch of I-95. I mean, come on. It was the middle of nowhere.

I think people are getting them while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. Sort of the South Carolina equivalent of those OBX decals.

If you're living in Southern Ohio, there's this weird kind of exchange with Charleston, SC and Central Kentucky. Tons of people going there for vacations and many ex-Kentuckians living in Charleston too. The concentration here in Lexington KY is pretty strangely high.
