Battlefield Bad Company Beta (Xbox 360)

EA is starting a beta test of B:BC on 03/25. Get the details at planet battlefield and sign ups are available now at fileplanet. The requirements are:
• Xbox LIVE Gold Account REQUIRED
• Keys reserved for IGN Insider/Founders' Club Members
• Experience with Battlefield, FPS games, and past beta tests required

It really sucks that they didn't make this completely open a la COD4 and distribute batches of keys to the general public. I've had the IGN Insider account for a while and that's the only reason I was able to get in. Sorry for any false hope...

Also, once you've go the key, you can download the beta early to avoid the 03/25 rush. Can't get any farther than searching for MP games but everything else is there to look at.

Has anyone been able to get into a game yet? I tried about a 1/2 hour ago and it sat at the finding game page since then. Apparently, Ea doesn't have enough servers to accomodate the number of beta users there are.

Played at little bit. Feels like Battlefield on a console to me, go figure. One thing to note is when you are waiting to respawn you can see the squad member you would spawn in on. Make sure he is clear before you hit the button to spawn otherwise you may die immediately due to danger close fire. I will give it a few more runs before I form a concrete opinion.

I played for a little bit and came away disappointed. In a nutshell it's essentially a scaled down console version of BF2 with slightly destructible environments but overall the experience is underwhelming. Movement seems slow, no commands available, no large map to view (clustered mini-map), and no freaking prone, which is probably the most ridiculous thing I've come across. More to come later...

I'm in, too. Played a round tonight, and my first impression is that it is pretty fun, although I agree with 93_confirmed in that it's very much a dumbed-down console version of BF2. Although, BF2 with destructible environments can be a very good thing. Still, I enjoyed the game, although that might be because I kicked ass the moment I joined a ranked match
I'm more interested in the single player campaign, now. Judging from the MP game type (fighting over gold), I'm curious to see how much like Three Kings the SP story will actually be...
Oh well, I'm off to "test" it out some more
PS. I am not an IGN Founders' Club member or an IGN Insiders member (I refuse to pay cash for info that's freely distributed over the net), and yet they sent me the email with the beta offer that was specifically for Founders/Insiders. I wonder if it's because I've had an IGN account since the site started? Oh well, score for me!
I played for about an hour earlier. Yes, it's a dumbed down version of BF2, but I liked BF2
My impressions so far are pretty good. I'll need to spend some more time with it to justify $60 bucks.

There's a demo up on Live today.
I like the explosions, relatively open areas, pleasant environments, and the weapons feel good. Listening to the radio while driving through a warzone is nice.
I don't like being constantly interrupted by a cutscene spelling out what could easily be just happening without taking the controls away. Vehicle forward is the left trigger? What? I didn't see where X and Y axis sensitivity were independently adjustable -- ratcheting up the sensitivity didn't seem to adjust the Y axis at all, making them mismatched.
The player is slow and dashing didn't seem to help at all.
Mutliplayer was okay, but not amazing enough to justify bumping this out of the rental range most likely.

Seriously underwhelmed. If they could do Star Wars: Battlefront on the console they can do the Battlefield series. They just seemed determined to do it wrong.
