Halo 3: Sidewinder Revisited
One of the next Halo 3 maps coming on US Tax Day is called "Avalanche"..
Xbox.com says:
"Avalanche" is a tribute to "Sidewinder," a Halo®: Combat Evolved fan favorite. This massive, vehicle-oriented objective map adds a twist to its classic predecessor with all new interiors, dramatically reshaped exteriors, and brand new vehicle variants. Take a ride and admire the visual variety from the cockpit of the retuned Hornet.
There are 2 other maps coming out, but Sidewinder holds a special place of turning on the XBox at the dumpy old RadioShack TV displays, playing Halo: CE, getting annoyed at being sniped, and throwing Mt Dew Code Red at the poorly operating tubes. Definitely looking forward to this one, even though it is 800 points for 3 maps.

Very, very cool of them to revisit this map. I still pine for an updated Coagulation, but an updated Sidewinder is a damn fine addition. Hopefully it'll give me reason enough to drop Halo 3 back into my 360 once this pack goes free.

I loved this map in Halo 1. It was just perfect for 16 player LAN matches. Not only was the map design itslef good, but judging from these pictures on the website, they are really taking advantage of those great snow effects in Halo 3. Snowbound still looks awesome everytime I load it up.
