March 17 - March 21

You have to say this for the Rainbow Six franchise: it's durable. It's been 10 years since Rainbow Six burst upon the scene, offering what was, at the time, a very different take on the action gaming genre, and even now a decade later the franchise remains not just on top, but pretty much the only game of its kind in town. I don't have a lot to say about Vegas 2 specifically, having never really played its predecessor. While I recognize that these are titles of apparent quality, I am not fueled by that same co-op drive which is all the rage these days.

In fact I'm probably as interested in Hot Shots Golf on the PS3 as anything, which may seem a less than credible opinion but one I'm willing to embrace. Beyond that, however, the release list is a wasteland. Last November, when three or four games a week seemed like a must buy, certainly seems like forever away now.

Meanwhile, on DVD this week I Am Legend, Enchanted and Battlestar Galactica Season 3 hit shelves. More here.

Oh My G-d!

You don't think Diary Girl is a Must Buy!?

I Am Legend is definitely worth watching. I really liked that in the theater.

I'll be renting R6V2 on the PS3 after enjoying R6V so much. Sounds like a strange thing to say but if the game is not enough of a jump ahead on R6V1 then I might end up waiting a bit to buy it.

I'd be curious what the feedback on Lost in Blue 3 will be. I played the first one. It was very different, and not for everyone, but it was pretty interesting. It's one of those odd Japanese games that tends to start out hard and get a bit easier over time.

It's ok, up until the third act where it falls apart completely. Enchanted is the better movie by a mile.

No, really.

Couldn't they just package only the good episodes together and sell that? It'd all fit on one disc, too.

The DVD has a better ending. But yes, we need more movies like Enchanted too.

I had it in my calendar for next week, but it looks like the Metal Gear Solid Essentials Collection is out on the shelves this week too.

I hear that this is one of the most skill based games. Maybe that is why I hate it so much.
