Lingering Bugs - New GWJ Problems?
I don't know if there's still a thread for this kind of stuff, if so, kindly kill this one, mods...
But I noticed a problem with the Recent Posts tracker. Specifically, on the "My Recent Posts" page.
Threads that I have very recently posted replies on tend to move to the top of the list in the tracker, however, sometimes this is not the case. For example, I posted on the Official TF2 thread a little while ago, but it did not move to the top of my tracker. I also noticed that a few days ago, when I posted on it before, new replies to it did not make it go to the top of the list. I noticed it in the All Recent Posts page today, with 34 new replies. Yet it sits on the 7th page of My recent posts. I have observed similar issues with the Lost Odyssey catch-all thread.
Anyone else getting this?

I have this too... though i thought that was just the way it worked. Didn't realise it was supposed to bump them up to the first page

I've found that clicking on Popular Threads doesn't take me to the new posts, it starts me on page one (even if there are new posts).
I've found that the navigation menus at the bottom of the posts only has "Home" for the old events threads that have been moved over instead of "Home >> Forums >> Games and Platforms"

I've noticed that when I cilck to read a forum, the "Popular Forum Threads" menu on the left of the screen has all the links listed vertically (as in the lettters are all right on top of each other). I don't know if it's a resolution bug or what.

I'm getting this as well.
It looks like the indent on the left frame(?) goes from about a half inch (looks fine) to as far to the right, as it can go within the left frame(?), causing the effect DeepSea mentioned. When this happens, the actual thread doesn't begin until you scroll down past the bottom of the left frame(?)
EDIT: Forgot to mention this is happening in IE 6.

Yeah, the new site looks good but definitely has issues. I noticed that when I post to a thread, no other posts ever appear after it. Anyone else have this issue?

I also noticed something with the P&C forum. I had marked the topics as being read, but when I went back to the main forum page, it still said New next to it, even though I checked and there were no new replies.

Isn't that just because you are checking too frequently?

And mobile.gamerswithjobs.com is down! How am I supposed to goof off during meetings and toilet breaks?!

I'm also noticing that when I sit down to read the new forums I don't want to actually do work anymore. Not sure if it's a bug though.

I keep scrolling down to get to the link to my account page. But that's my problem.

Can we please fix it so that the first post doesn't repeat on every single page in the thread?
I don't see why that's a problem, and in several situations recently really liked that it was there.

It throws me off a bit but I guess it can be helpful to avoid derailing the topic or somethin'.

Excellent. I was just talking to Jeff last night about compiling the new bug list. Keep going!

Yup, there's something about that link's style - in IE7, only a part of that text is actually clickable.
I don't know if this is a bug or missing feature of the new forum software or what, but pictures no longer auto-resize to fir inside the browser when viewing the forum in Opera. Not especially noticeable except in particular threads.

I have to refresh to resize pictures when they are posted. Not sure if that is a bug or something with Firefox.

When viewing a thread, sometimes the left hand "Popular Forum Threads " and "Steam Community Calender" portlets retain their width, but each bulleted line item basically get's right aligned and only 1 - 2 characters of display width per bulleted line, resulting in long vertical lines of illegible characters.

I made a comment on a thread, then about a half hour later I edited it and it registered as a new post which brought it back up to the top of the list. Might be intentional, but I don't think it did that on the old site.

I'll second this one, using the same browser. I've had that issue since well before the changeover to the new site, though.

In IE 6, the conference call and recent forum activity boxes will bounce around if I start messing with the window size.
If the browser window is maximized the boxes will be stacked on top of one another. If I start shrinking the window using the right-hand border the forum activity box will start jumping back and forth from its normal position to underneath the conference call box. On occasion both boxes will also end up below the left hand side frames.
This last bug also seems to happen on most thread pages. The thread will start beneath the left side frames.
All of this seems to be happening only in IE. I use Firefox at home and haven't noticed any problems.

Yes I was just about to post this. Anytime someone edits a post that comment gets tagged new and the time stamp for the post is updated to the time the edit was made. This in turn updates the thread as having a new post and when you click on it you get taken to the edited comment. It kind of looks funny having a post with a time stamp several hours older sometimes above several posts with earlier times.
Not sure if this was planned or not.

This is something I always disliked about the old site. No pages cached. It could be a real pain at times.
