I'm going for Deus Ex. I've only had it since the day it came out and I've probably played 5 minutes of it. I found it in a box of software while looking for games to reinstall on a rebuilt PC.

Wish me luck!

Very cute title.

I bought a lot of new games last month so I doubt I'll have to willpower to finish something from my pile. But I'll try. Sign me up for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Tales of Eternia (PSP). One will fall this month.

The quest for this month is to not buy a new game from the moment of this posting. Let's see if it lasts.

For game completion I vow to finally get the Burnout license in Paradise, beat the remaining hour of my borrowed copy of CoD4, and beat No More Heroes.

Yet even then we ran like the wind,
whilst our laughter echoed under cerulean skies...

Well, I'm only a couple of chapters from the end of Half-Life 2 now, so I should have no problem finishing that this month. I also picked up Professor Layton, and with my current rate of portable playing, I should get through that this month as well.

After HL2, I may move on to the Episodes, but I just picked up Lost Odyssey too, and I still have Mass Effect, so one of those might tempt me. Would I think less of the story and presentation in Mass Effect if I play Lost Odyssey first?

List updated.

I'm still going strong, no new titles purchased in the first 6th of the year!

pnueman, Mass Effect (the 4 hours I've played so far) is definitely a western RPG. There's no mistaking it for anything other than a Bioware game. It's good, I liked what I played so far, but I don't think it's a fair comparison to a epic, cut scene heavy JRPG. It really depends what you like most in your RPGs, the story or the combat, items, equipment. That's not to say Mass Effect doesn't have a decent story, but I found myself more concerned trying to optimize my weapons for max damage.

I guess it's time for my secret shame... I've never played a western RPG! I have played a couple of JRPGs, but beyond 2D titles like Golden Sun, the only 3D JRPG I've played is FFX, and even then, I didn't end up finishing it. I might tackle Mass Effect first, though, even if only because it sounds like a shorter game than Lost Odyssey.

I'm jumping in on these now. Time for me to start actually finishing some games. My March targets are Psychonauts (PC) and Bioshock (360). Add in a strech goal of Zak & Wiki (Wii).

I'll jump in too, seeing as I just went in on the Pile of Shame thread. I'm going to try for Half Life 2. I just got the dune buggy, which I think is about half way through but I don't really know. If I finish, I think I'll take a break before tackling the episodes and try Overlord.

List is updated. I put most of those in multi-platform, well, because they are. That way anyone else jumping on the title can play on another platform and still discuss with you. Generally, there's not a lot of differences in the ports in terms of story, puzzles, places to get stuck, etc...

Part of the reason I stopped playing was because of how awful the camera system was. I picked up a copy of MGS:3 Subsistence on ebay for $30 since it's supposed to be fixed in this version.

CoD4 falls on the Normal difficulty. Quite an enjoyable game, but I'm glad I only rented it. It was too short.

A lot of those games I fizzled out at the 3/4 mark, I just need a boost for the finish line. This thread motivates!

Woohoo! after a few months off from expert mode, I went from 16 to 22 songs completed with only one failure. (two if you count failing on Freya and quitting).

I've only got Freebird left on hard in GH2. It's that last solo that kills me. Freya took me a while to get past, but I finally had to give in and play it like the devs want you to play the song. I sometimes get a disconnect trying to play a GH or RB song because where they have hammer-ons and pull-offs the actual song has picked notes. Trying to play the individual notes led to a lot of failure. Once I went with the HO/PO like the game wants you to do, a lot of the songs became much easier.

Dude, I swear you stack up games with the last boss, level or goal left just to add them to the next month.

I'm joining the Half-Life 2 crowd this month just to have extra motivation. Just finished Ravenholm, shot down gunship and now on to Nova Prospekt. So I hope it will go down soon. Finally.

Maybe, but I really want to finish off all the unfinished titles I have. Sadly the only one left in the queue is Paradise. After it's complete is No More Heroes, where I've not even finished the first mark
