I quit my job today.
Yup I have been wanting to do this for years and the time has finally come. I sent my formal letter of resignation my last day of work will be the 21st of March. I am hoping to never work computer support ever again. Actually I will still work a weekend shift here or there to keep some income while I finish school.
Over the last 6 months I have been going to school nights to become a Massage Therapist. I was scheduled to finish in September. Last week I decided to accelerate that process and am joining the full time day program so I can graduate in June.
I have been bouncing between overly excited over the changes and paralysed from worry about money, insurance and what-not but I know things will work out.
I know I have not been posting much but I just had to share the news. Hopefully this will give me more time to participate in the forums and more gaming time in general.

Oh man, I worked as a Massage therapist for a while, and it's AWESOME. You are going to get so laid.
Good job, sir. And don't worry about the money, as long as you're fit and look healthy and are actually good about giving massages, you'll never be lacking for work. You'll probably be asked to become a male prostitute, but it's not a good idea. Also, be careful about your hands, but I suppose you get all that from the training.

It definitely is and has been getting more accepted for its clinical benefits as well. My focus has been deep tissue and sports injury. My plan once I graduate is to work off of referrals from physiatrists and incorporating massage along side Physical Therapy. I am also looking into taking insurance but it might be more of a hassle then it is worth.
I am not looking to go down that road but I can tell you my girlfriend is reaping the benefits of my schooling.

I finished school for Massage Therapy a while back, and loved the work- unfortunately, our family debt meant that I couldn't make the leap to doing it full-time.
