I'd love to meet up with you guys-- especially since this is (sadly) my first GDC, I think I should round out the experience by hanging out with GWJers, too.
It was fun last year, but sadly I won't be out for GDC again this year. Of course, I've got a couple of flight vouchers. I could just come out anyway. It'd be a shorter flight than braehole's drive.
I'm still up for "Sephiroticon", but my house is in San Jose. Granted, it would probably be the weekend when I held it, but it's looking like less of a possibility. If I rolled it all into my birthday celebration, I could probably convince the wife.
Other than that, I am always up for a get together during GDC as I work all of a block away.

I'd be up for driving to San Jose or meeting somewhere in SF. I vote that we meet on the 21st or 22nd since I'll be in Vegas for the WVC 'til the 20th.

Granted, I won't be able to provide alcoholic beverages, but it's all going to be LOADS cheaper and quieter than if we did it at any of the local brew-pubs.
My company may be throwing a party at Jillians (right in the metreon) one of the nights, and you are all welcome there, as well. That will be catered with open bar. I suppose we could do that, THEN go back to the academy for some gaming fun...

To be fair, GenCon is more raw fun. GDC is pretty tame. Almost boring. It's less like E3 and more like a tame Siggraph.
