What would you like to see on the VC?
I've been thinking about this for a while, and there are a ton of games that I'd love to be able to play again which I just can't anymore due to all of our NESes being TKO'ed by Father Time or simply because I've never found a copy for the particular system. Here's my list:
Shining Force 2 (this one's confirmed to be a future release, I just want them to release it already)
Secret of Mana
Dragon Warrior/Quest 1-4 (although I have 1-3 in their GB iterations, and 4 is due to be remade for the DS, so these are not top priority in my mind)
8 Eyes (not a well known game, but it's similar to Castlevania and is/was pretty fun)
Blaster Master (do I really have to describe it?)
A Boy & His Blob (such a weird little game)
Castlevania III (another confirmed future release)
Crystalis
Duck Tales (probably will never get VCed due to copyright issues)
The Guardian Legend
Wizards & Warriors 1-3 (loved the first two, never played the third other than on glitchy emulators)
Metroid II: Return of Samus (unlikely due to the fact that they simply don't have Game Boy titles)
Star Trek 25th Anniversary
Soul Blazer (the first part of the Gaia trilogy)
Illusion of Gaia (second part)
Terranigma (third part, which never saw a release here - did get released in Europe and Australia though)
Ladystalker (sequel to Landstalker, never released outside Japan)
Chrono Trigger (I mean, come on)
Lufia I & II
Super Mario All-Stars (fat chance of that happening)
Young Merlin (another lesser known game, pretty fun though)
There are many others, but I wanted to keep my list short for now.

Don't mean to offend but most NES games suck. I'd rather see something like the stuff Xbox Live is doing now.

DuckTales was pretty much my favourite NES game. Great levels and music, and that cool bouncing mechanic that really hasn't been used in any other game since. I beat it a handful of times, which is impressive because if I remember correctly, there was no saving or passwords. Playing it again would be a huge nostalgia trip.
Mostly, I'd just like to see them do something interesting. The novelty of being able to play old games is wearing thin. If they want to renew interest in the VC, they should really think about letting us play old games in new ways. Adding online multiplayer, updating graphics All-Stars style, adding new content, etc.
River City Ransom. That game ruled.

Oh yeah, also Mario Paint with Wii remote support to replace the mouse. I would pay way too much money for the ten minutes of enjoyment I would get out of that.
Most, yes, but there is still a good number that are still quite playable, especially the later Dragon Warrior games released for the NES.

Hell yes. Also Majora's Mask.

Majora's Mask. It's the only 3D Zelda game I haven't played, and it sounds very interesting, but getting together all the required bits to play it (the cart, and the memory expansion, as well as a new N64 controller since my old one's cactus) has been putting me off. I know there was a GameCube release of it, but it's surprisingly hard to find a PAL copy of, and I heard it has a few issues anyway, which would hopefully be fixed in a VC release.

I also vote for Secret of Mana, Marjora's Mask, Mario Paint and River City Ransom.
Add one more. WWF No Mercy (N64). If not that, than WWF Wrestlemania 2000 (N64).

Let me navigate the Wii's main menu with the GameCube controller. My wife claims that they're missing a Donkey Kong game that she wants to play again.
I'd like to add another vote for Ducktales as well.

General Chaos for the Genesis. Easily my favorite 16-bit game.

Here's my list off the top of my head:
I'd list the Dragon Warrior/Quest titles, but they're coming for the DS (or are already on the GBC) so I don't need them on VC. However, there were SNES remakes of the first two (or three?) in Japan that, if translated and released on the VC, I would snag in a heartbeat!
Blaster Master - Definitely

Castlevania III - on my definite download list
Crystalis - Ditto, I listed this and Willow as the other two I need to go along with the release of Startropics on VC.
Willow
Duck Tales - classic fun game
Super Mario All-Stars - we can hope
Super Mario Kart - the original and still one of the best of the franchise
Secret of Mana - Utterly fantastic game, but I see this more likely being remade or re-released on the DS by Square-Enix themselves
Secret of Mana 2 - This was Japan-only (Seiken Densetsu 3) and has been a most-wanted title for me for years. I tried a fan translation ROM at one point, but I don't enjoy playing console games on the PC and would like an official release anyway.
Chrono Trigger - Total no-brainer, though a full remake could be awesome too!
Banjo-Kazooie - My favorite 3d platform adventure title ever. Actually, I've read the rumors of Rare remaking this with full HD resolution and upgraded textures/models for the 360, and would be all over that.
There's plenty more I'm sure, that's just off the top of my head and triggered by other posts in the thread.
I want to see Banjo Kazooie as well.
That would be really cool but I would rather see a brand new Banjo Kazooie. It would be a nice piece of bonus content.
Chrono Trigger
Mother 1 (Earthbound Zero): Translated and with Earthbound quality graphics.
Mother 3: Again, translated, though the GBA graphics look good.

Finally remembered the other great 2 player game that took way too much of my time, Metal Warriors. Now I'm tempted to go out and get a couple usb gamepads so I can play that and River City again with a pal.

Oh, they're working on it. That's a given. I just hope it's more like Banjo-Kazooie and less like Banjo-Tooie.
The sequel was just not focused enough. The original had a stellar, tight design that's still unrivaled for me.
Hate to get off topic, but are they really calling the next Banjo Kazooie game "Banjo Threeie?"
I would also like to see Jet Force Gemini as long as they fix the frame rate problem.
My most wanted game was recently released: Zanac-one of the best shumps out there.
