Star Wars characters in Soul Caliber IV

I predict Yoda will be the most annoying character to fight against in the game.
"Men like sex, thus boobies! Oogaba!" - dejanzie

Wow. I don't think you could get much more out of place than those characters in that game.
Say what you will about Spawn or whatever being in the one on the Xbox.. but at least he fit the aesthetic. The idea of Darth Vader vs. Mitsurugi just seems completely stupid.

I don't imagine master craftsmen leaping away from completed projects and shouting "Done, motherf*ckers! - 1Dgaf
What the Force?!
Can't wait to see a finishing move involving Leia's buns.
(*Waggles eyebrows*)
Rock Band Name Generator!... too funny to merely be coincidence.
"Truly, this mishap has set back the swamp sciences several years." - H.P. Lovesauce, lamenting a tragedy.
Are they still Masters of Teras Kasai (or whatever that gawdawful PSX game was called).
MaxShrek .. looks like Jake.. drives like Elwood.
What?!
...
That is... AWESOME. But, is it confirmed?

Well It's definitely Interesting, I don't know about awesome but it might be really good or really bad
Considering Link was the coolest character in Soul Caliber 2, I have faith that Soul Caliber IV will be great with Yoda and Vader.

Special Move: Force "Choke Hold"....CONFIRMED!!
(That character model freakin' rocks.)
"And which of these buttons calls your parents to pick you up?"
I blame Triumph.
You're all fired for not posting pictures! This is more than confirmed, it's in game!
We shall grapple with the ineffable, and see if we may not eff it after all.
I sense a disturbance in the force, like millions of fans suddenly cired out in agony.
Sigh, the Jedis are going to really feel this one.

I'm a rather rabid Star Wars fan and a Soul Calibur fan as well, but this is just stupid.
I could almost buy Spawn and Link being in Soul Calibur II, but this just makes my brain hurt.

That's a bizarre decision.

Brand management isn't one of the Star Wars franchise's strengths.
You can't block a lightsaber! That would make for some pretty damn quick battles, though.
Certis beat me to it. - Elysium
And how cool would it be if they included Han and gave him a special move that would let him shoot his opponent before the battle begins? Anyway, according to Kotaku: no Vader vs. Yoda match - Vader's only in the PS3 version, Yoda does his Force-Fu on the 360 exclusively.
That character exclusivity sucks. I don't know which character I'd have more fun playing: emasculated Vader ("Nooooooooooooo!!!") or Jacki Ch-- err, Yoda.
The only thing I care about is online multiplayer. Namco has traditionally not had online multiplayer, though.
Getting killed, though? In a way that you don't like? Suck it up, Gertrude.
The Wii gets Jar-Jar.

The only thing stupider than putting SciFi characters in a fantasy game is making them system exclusive. And they tried to justify the previous cameos being in the Soul Calibur universe... how are they going to pull this off? This is just plain stupid. Y'know, bacon is great, ice cream is great, but do not put bacon in ice cream.
Trust me.
Argh, the more I think about this the more it pisses me off! Hey, maybe while they're at it they'll throw in Captain Picard, Kaylee, and the Predator.

The 1Up story hints that LucasArts may have licensed other characters. If they put Guybrush Threepwood in there, I may have to get it on principle, but short of that I'll probably pass.
Teräs Käsi actually. Pronounced with the "ä" as the "a" in "sad", the "e" and "i" as in "brevity", just so that you know.
(I'm not that sad of a SW nut, but the name's actually Finnish, so it's stuck in the ol' memory.)

If they feel a need to go one better than the ludicrous Star Wars characters, Indiana Jones might fit the bill. Can't think of any other "applicable" Lucasarts characters.

I'm not really seeing a problem with this. Unexpected sure, and the reasoning for which goes where is just plain silly. Still, I'm dealing with a universe that contains a robotic samurai, demons, a ninja wearing latex paint, and swords with eyes in them. I'm not going to balk at a little green man or a weird black knight with light swords. So long as they get the balance worked out and don't make Yoda a god due to his small stature I'm fine with it.
And if you're really pissed about it, just do a bit of that mental modding crap and don't select them. Yeesh-da.
Remember, only by treating everyone with dignity and respect can we maintain the element of surprise for that inevitable day when we wipe our enemies from the face of the Earth.
For clarification, "bnpederson" is pronounced "Brian."
I love the complete Zen like look Yoda has on his face while administering the righteous beat down.

Ohhhh, I don't know.
If they are going this far they could probably come up with a way to fit Richard Dreyfuss and Ron Howard's characters from American Graffiti .
Which is the hand to hand martial arts. Weilding the lightsabers uses a different discipline.

Yoda...really?
You can't control the wind, but you can adjust your sails.
I don't mind this at all, but it is kind of annoying that they did this exclusively. How many copies could they sell just to geeks that want to play Yoda vs. Darth Vader? Separating them just seems ludicrous. At least go Pokemon on us, and let us merge two copies of the same game to play them.

Working in marketing, I do believe they've done the exclusive content thing chiefly in order to generate buzz. I would. It's all the same if it's mildly annoyed buzz.
