Any good dungeon hack games on the DS?

I'm looking for a dungeon hack game on the DS for my wife and I to play together (we each have a DS). So, it needs to support MP, but I'm fine with buying two copies of the game if it is necessary. Also, I'm looking for the game to be good too.

There was a single player one called Izuna a while back but it was apparently awful, despite having a cute ninja chick as a main character. There's another coming up called Mysterious Dungeon that might be better, dunno. Either way, I don't know if there are any multiplayer ones.

Yeah, the multiplayer aspect would seem to be the most difficult aspect of your search. I'm not overly familar with any upcoming dungeon crawler style games that have a MP facet.

I can think of a few RPG franchises that have had some mention of a DS/GBA release.

Zelda: Four Swords
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
[Insert Noun] of Mana

Unfortunately I don't much about specific releases for the DS. Can anyone add to this?

In Ultima Online I used to poison hams and leave them on the ground in cities for people to pick up and eat. I can't believe how many people thought street ham was a good thing to eat. -Elliottx

Dungeon Explorer is coming up soon and I think it's supposed to have some good co-op.

I just finished ID's "Orcs and Elves". It's a fairly short game at about 8 hours but it was definitely worth it. It plays out like a 3d Eye of the Beholder, crossed with Wolfenstein 3D. I cracked up the first time i found a secret and it pushed back into the wall Wolf-style.

Lots of potion quaffing and ale drinking, as well as looting and smashing.

You can't do this!

This looks like it could fit the bill. It just depends on if it's any good or not. Looks like it is supposed to come out in February.

Lunar Knights is a good single player dungeon hack. Has a world full of vampires, day night cycle, everything you'd except from a (japanese) dungeon hack. Single player only, though

We shall grapple with the ineffable, and see if we may not eff it after all.

I played Children of Mana (DS) last spring. I was looking for something similar and it has multiplayer. Unfortunately it's not a good game. It's not awful, but I'd advise not wasting your time or money.
Lego Star Wars Complete Saga might count, I haven't played it or any of the Lego Star Wars games though.

Etrian Odyssey is a good game, and very heavy on the dungeon indeed. Unfortunately, it is turn-based, single player, and very difficult (perhaps not a good fit for more casual players).

You asked for a dungeon game!

Sorry none of us have better news. I'm waiting for a good game to fill this niche.
My current hopes are pinned on: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for the DS.

I don't know too much about it but I did play and enjoy the first FFCC game.

It's already been released in Japan and is scheduled for a Spring release in the US. According to the Wikipedia article I linked to it got a 35/40 from Famitsu and will release in North America on March 11, 2008.

It looks like there will be local co-op with some limited ability to trade items on wi-fi.

---------------
Dragon Quest 9 will also be coming to the DS although there's no clear release date.
It's being made by Level 5 (published by Square Enix) who also made Jeanne D'Arc and Dark Cloud.

When it was first announced they said it would have wi-fi co-op Multiplayer and it would be a real time action RPG.
I think there was a large backlash against Dragon Quest going in too much of an action direction so I think they're making it turn based.

Hopefully it retains the 4 player wi-fi co-op and is awesome.

I liked Orcs & Elves for the DS. But then, again, I also liked it on my cell phone.
